Robert Edward Lee Oswald died this week and was given a private memorial service. He went to his grave maintaining his brother planned and carried out the assassination by himself.
Oswald was one of the first to talk at length with his brother, late that night on November 22, 1963, after he heard the devastating news on the radio and rushed to Dallas. But he said he could get nothing out of his brother to indicate if, or why he killed the President.
Robert Oswald, in the few interviews he gave through the years, including one rare local interview in the KFDX studios, maintained it was just circumstance and coincidence. That his brother was in the right place and the right time, and he decided to carry out the crime because of his lifelong craving for attention.
Well, you can’t pick your family. RIP.
And....?
I hope he didn’t have to spend his life apologizing for what his brother did.
I feel sorry for the guy. None of us choose our parents or siblings.

“Testimony Of Robert Edward Lee Oswald”
I remember viewing a documentary about Oswald - the brother was strongly advised to change his last name.
He refused, obviously.
I just watched the movie Parkland on Amazon Prime and it featured the brother quite a bit. Good movie.
Oswald?
Stop buying the B.S. your gov’t spits at you. You don’t buy the global warming B.S. Come on peeps.
Want a clue? Who benefited???
LBJ and George H.W. Bush.
End. Of. Story.

“Another member of the government conspiracy who refused to talk and set up his own brother as a patsy!” < /sarc >
“alleged” assassin....Mafia hitman Jack Ruby made sure the case never went to trial...
BTW, there is an interesting chapter about the Kennedy assassination in a new book about Americans and booze by Susan Cheever. She claims that the Secret Service was out until 1 AM and one returned at 4 AM from a bar run (same business as Ruby...?) and that their performance in crisis was sub-par because they were hung over. Some carried great guilt that they were not on top of it. The driver said he didn't drive off quickly enough.
Adds another dimension to the conspiracy stew.
I read the book. It was good. I've been looking for the movie. Glad to know it's finally on Amazon Prime and I can add it to my queue. I remember the brother came across as a decent person. Their mother, on the other hand, was a real piece of work.
Oswald's Russian wife, Marina still lives in Dallas, long ago remarried and became a U.S. citizen, and believes to this day that Lee had nothing to do with killing the President.
You don’t think Oswald pulled the trigger? A 3 week Marine recruit could have made that shot...including any Army dog.
Very interesting document of Robert’s testimony to the Warren commission. I read for an hour. What a sad story of the difficulties in the upbringing of those boys.
Very possible about LBJ. The truth of his initial Senate election is shocking and a foreshadowing. The guy was scum.
Which shot?
As a long time student of the JFK assassination, I don’t accept that Oswald was a shooter. Anecdotal reports of those who tried, SEAL snipers included, demonstrate that no one could work the Cacarno action fast enough to get off aimed shots. Then you have the information that was recently released showing shot placement.
The SS were drinking in Ft Worth. Not Dallas.
