Flynn is reported to have lied about his contact with Russia which seems to be ordinary communications for a transition team. So why lie in the first place?
The dots are not connecting. Is this the tip of an iceberg that we are not being shown.
What else did Flynn do wrong? Is it stuff that is important to keep secret for national security? Is it stuff that is somehow related to Flynn not following directions given by administration? Is it stuff that goes deeper against Trump that we will not be privy to?
Something is missing.
I think that's right. He must have assumed that his contacts with Russia would prevent him from getting a big Admin job.
As former DIA, he should have known that any calls to the Russian Ambassador would likely be tapped...
The interesting wrinkle is the Trump efforts against the UN anti-Israel abstention vote by Hussein Obama.
Trumps opponents could hype this as a potential Logan Act violation - except some of Trump's loudest liberal critics agreed with Trump on that one. LOL!
While I have tremendous respect for law enforcement in this country, I think that anyone who speaks with LEOs regarding anything more serious than jay walking without at least 50 lawyers present is a fool.
I wonder who brought Flynn into the campaign in the first place? Was he recommended by Manafort, who lived in Trump Tower before he joined the campaign? If so, with those two guys on the hook, it could well have been a Deep State setup. At any rate, I don't want to ever see anyone quoting "Q" again since it is now obvious that Mueller isn't part of some 4D chess.
For Flynn to have pled guilty to lying, something he could have fought. Its likely that he fears a much larger crime. So what crime did he do? We should be able to deduce that at least two people are suspected of crimes. And that Flynn feels he can be convicted. But someone else maybe just Manafort. And maybe a family member to Trump. Or it could be someone still inside the government in the CIA or Military.
Some strange comments here in.
Flynn was one of the very _few_ in DC that actually knows that the _pieceful_religion_ is an enemy of USA; enemy of USA law; has infiltrated USA governments and institutions.
Do those making anti-Flynn comments, know that DC spends trillions of dollars fighting an enemy that DC cannot even name, and then brings hundreds of thousands of those of the _pieceful_religion_ into our neighborhoods, against most of our demands to stop?
Never never never ever ever talk to the police, and especially to the FBI, withoqut a lawyer present. Best to say nothing even then. It’s also good to have a terrible memory.
Interviews with the FBI are a trap.
1. They do not record the interviews so they can accuse someone of lying even when they didn’t.
2. If you are asked a loaded question and you don’t answer it ‘right’ then you’ve lied (according to them).
3. Lawyers are often barred from attending these interviews.
“A better question is: how did Mueller acquire Inquisition-like powers of investigation and politically-inspired harassment?”
From Jeff “the recuser” Sessions.
“Why would Flynn lie about something seemingly innocent?”
By definition democrats are sociopaths and congenital liars.
DIDn’t he only work for Trump for like 25 days?
He should have asked the FBI for the Obama administrations intercept tapes to serve as a memory jogger to help make sure his recollections were correct. Or simply said he refused to talk to them on 5th amendment grounds. Now theyve destroyed the man financially and personally and Mueller & his crew of Leftist criminals have a scalp.
I hope Trumps current attorneys are advising him to not cooperate with Mueller to include resisting any of the Mueller gangs requests for documents.
Q: Did you in your role as an advisor to Trump ever talk to Russia?
A: No.
Q: But we have phone conversations on such and such date.
A: That was in my role as future National Security Advisor.
Q: LIAR LIAR!!
EVERYONE in power does shady or even illegal things. But if you PLAY THE UNIPARTY GAME, you are left alone.
Hillary was protected
Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder were protected
Lois Lerner was protected
James Comey was protected
Robert Mueller himself was protected
Flynn worked for Obama. Then shouted "Jail Her Now" for the hated Trump at the RNC. He was not protected.
The FBI can find DOZENS of illegal acts for each of the people listed above. But nothing will ever be done to prove it.
Obama fired Flynn as DIA director, having grown to hate him for his clear understanding of Islam. Obama also advised Trump not to appoint him National Security Advisor.

Two words for you marthastewart and scooterlibby.
Flynn’s son also posted about Pizzagate, saying it should be investigated.
This deal - if you consider it logically - was a dad saving his son. They were going to charge Flynn’s son and dad stepped up to take the fall. First place he visited after the plea deal today was his son’s home.
Obama reached out to Iran, Hamas, and Russia prior to his 2008 election. It’s not illegal. Different rules for Republicans.
Remember, this entire conviction is based on the fake “Golden Showers” Russian Dossier. That’s how Obama & Company got unmasking of all of Trump’s associates and found out about this call.
Flynn should have said, “I don’t remember. I can’t recall” and smashed his harddrives with a hammer like Hillary did and there’d be no charges possible.
It’s actually pretty simple. First of all, apparently the Bureau has recordings and transcripts of his conversations and I continue to wonder how and on what basis they obtained that authority, but DOJ and the Bureau refuse to answer that and other questions from Congress. one wonders why...
As an aside, evidence obtained illegally or through a warrant that was obtained illegally, i.e., based on an affidavit containing known false information (Steele dossier anyone?), isn’t admissible in court.
The Bureau agents didn’t have to recall details of Flynn’s conversation(s); they have the transcripts, so it’s real easy to trip him up. Furthermore, Mike’s a soldier. He’s never been a Washington insider - even from a Pentagon perspective, and he wasn’t and isn’t a politically-motivated general officer; more senior general officers hate his guts for it. He doesn’t know how to speak Washington-ese and use general, lawyerly answers to everything. Even when he was the Director of DIA, I’ve heard a number of people comment that he didn’t “fit in” in the Washington culture. Been there, done that and got a few t-shirts...
And, in case you’re wondering, yes, I do know him and have for over 23 years. He’s what we used to call a “soldier’s general”, which are in very short supply of late.
I’ve wondered the same thing. The only thing I can think of is that it is against the law for private citizens to negotiate with foreign governments, so as not to interfere with the president’s constitutional authority to conduct relations with them. Since Trump had not yet taken office, both he and his transition team would technically, or at least arguably, still be considered a private citizen.
For my part, I think it’s at least arguable (and therefore, not “beyond a reasonable doubt”) that the president-elect and his staff are no longer private citizens. They get a federal budget, receive security briefings, and all sorts of other things that clearly, in my opinion, make them public employees, or at least public agents. But it can be argued the other way, too, I suppose.
So the other question is whether his contacts with the Russians can be considered negotiations. I would expect that they could be.
Amen! The police are not our friends.
This comes from someone who has never been drunk, and never been drugged, and is an ordained minister.
Believing in rule of law does not at all equate to trusting the police.
I have met many police officers. I would say that 1 in 4 is someone who respected the rule of law and the rights of a citizen. Many were themselves criminal in behavior.
