Wednesday, November 22, 2017 ..... Any FReepers notice how little was said about the anniversary this year of the Kennedy assassination ? I did not hear anything about it in the media till a night time talk show from San Antonio discussed it that night.
Maybe it wasn’t Ted Cruz’s Dad on the grassy knoll, but Donald Trump’s Dad. I have not heard an adequate explanation yet as to what Trump’s Dad was doing on that date...just sayin’.
Now the Kennedy assassination is in the same league as the Lincoln assassination (which had a much bigger impact on the country than the Kennedy shooting) and the first moon walk in 1969.
YOUR post is really the first...
Thanks.
For decades now Western libs, like the Khmer Rouge who re-set the calendar to “Year Zero” to indicate history starting with their “revolution”, have basically erased history prior to the point where young people overthrew the WASP establishment. History before Stonewall, Roe vs. Wade, etc. is unworthy of remembrance - in fact, it must be erased and/or re-written.
Obama was there for a very different reason...
Now down here in NJ we also have crappy sports teams (both the Jets AND Giants), cold winters, and repressive governments; I just prefer it a few dozen degrees warmer than Buffalo.
First because he was Catholic. No Christian can be in office that is Christian according to them now.
Catholics abhor Homosexual Marriage now so Progressives would put their hate toward him. And especially on Abortion regardless of what he would say.
JFK was a strong Anti-Communist. Progressives admire it.
JFK was for Tax Cuts and implemented them. Progressive and Democrats are lock step against them.
JFK would not win a DemocRATic nomination now. .
Do we note the anniversary of the assassination of President McKinley?
WSJ did a piece on the assassination, focusing on the “X” that is mysteriously painted and repainted on the Dallas street where Kennedy died.
Once it hit 50 years ago it began to fade. What’s the next “big” anniversary? 75? 100? In the year 2063 there will be a couple people left who were actually in Dealy Plaza that day as children. Then by 2075 or so the last surviving witness will die and it will make a small story in whatever is media then.
I am sick of the worship of the drug addicted whore monger because he happened to have a full head of hair.
McKinley was shot one century and five days before September 11, 2001.
It was a major city back then, now a dump.
The Decades channel ran two specials on November 22nd.
From 8 am to noon, there was a 2 part series that covered JFK from when he was born to when he met Jackie. From noon to 6pm they ran a 3 part series that covered Jackie from her birth to the death of Aristotle Onassis. Obviously I watched all day. These were two series I had not seen before. I remember the death of JFK (I was 11) like it was yesterday.
At long last Camelot is done and over with.
McKinley did die over a period of days (September 5 -September 14th).
Kennedy’s was so quick that he was dead before some people had even heard he was shot yet. The first shot was at 12:30pm CT, the news broke locally at 12:38 CT and his death, 1pm CT, began being announced at apprx 1:35pm CT.
I know; I was kidding. I live between two rust-belt cities here in NJ (Newark & Jersey City).
The Sixties channel on SiriusXM played some of the audio clips...still chilling.
The luster has faded from Camelot.
Not to mention "Abraham, Martin and John". Boy, am I old1!
Progressive Democrats would hate Kennedy
