PARKERS PRAIRIE, Minn. A hypothetical zombie apocalypse is to blame for recent controversy at Parkers Prairie High School in west-central Minnesota.
A teacher gave ninth-grade geography students an assignment that Principal Carey Johnson initially said is part of a nationally recognized curriculum called Zombie-Based Learning. One of the questions asked students to choose three people to sacrifice during a zombie apocalypse and explain why they were chosen.
The assignment from teacher angered some parents of ninth-graders, such as Michelle Diedrich.
I told her (the principal) I want a copy of the zero for my daughters grade, Diedrich said. I will be proud because that zero is how many children she (the daughter) gave up.
While the Zombie-Based Learning curriculum, created by Washington state teacher David Hunter, has been used in the district for a number of years, this specific question had never been included alongside the curriculum previously. Hunter said it is not part of the curriculum he has written.

Answer:
My teacher, the principal and the idiot who wrote this crap...................
While I think a “Zombie-Based Learning curriculum” is a good idea. It speaks to what young people are interested in; I think the idea of having kids think about who lives - who dies - is wrong.
I was already having these discussions as a Freshman in high school. Heck as an avid D&D gamer I was giving some of this stuff fake practical application in dungeons.
If I was wearing my favorite tin foil hat, I’d say it looks like a back door way to learn who has weapons around the house. d;^)
Zombies are mindless, shuffling, violent feral humans who can’t dress themselves properly. So, Zombie Apocalypse is a racist code word. /s

Chicago West Side survival questions.
Teacher: “Name three people.”
Student: “Three babies!”
Teacher: “You get an A!”
There is no reason give as to WHY they have to "sacrifice" three of their people.
So answer is, "The person who wrote this assignment, the principle who approved it and the teacher who gave it. They are useless to the human race".
I do know why the teacher did not give any reasoning however, he/she/it is tired of smart alecs like me figuring out a way around their poorly thought out scenarios.
I swear I did not read your post before writing my answer.
Why is this a bad assignment? Not to you, particularly, R2.
It goes back to the Situation Ethics assignments of many years ago.
“Who would you save? Who would you let die?”
This does not promote healthy learning and thinking.
Life presents hard decisions sometimes. It's certainly debatable that it's the school's place to teach morality, but I think I can make a case that schools are legitimately tasked with starting students to think.
It's a variant on the "lifeboat scenario" that the communist educrats have been using since the 1960s (at least). Its purpose is to instill a utilitarian view of people.
Thank you. I will research this.
If you’ve ever watched a group of high school kids walking along with their noses in their phones . . .
This is what the “Zombie Apocalypse” looks like!
