Terrifying 4,600ft Glass Walkway Opens In China, And Just Looking At The Pics Will Give You Vertigo

If you’re scared of heights, you’re going to find that this walkway is going to scare you just looking at the photos! You aren’t alone, though, and many people would take one look at this adventure and simply turn the other way. After all, who needs to walk around 5000 feet in the air, anyway, right?

If, however, you are taking one look at this glass option and thinking “How fast can I get there?”, you aren’t alone either. All you have to do is take a look at the photos and see that there are other adventurers that are looking to get in some excellent time in the world of heights. You have to admit that it would make some incredible pictures, there’s no question about that. Can you stomach the heights? That, it seems, is the question that everyone is asking themselves when they look about going on it.

I don’t think so. “Made in China” comes to mind.

The country that health and safety forgot: Chinese workers balance on flimsy planks with no ropes as they build road thousands of feet up a mountain

Typical Chinese construction (I worked there for 7 months in fertilizer plants). No way I'm getting on that thing...look at those welds!

Of course, their apartment building engineering is much better...

Impressive! Here, we only know how to build vertical buildings... but you have shown that Chinese know-how, they build both vertical AND horizontal buildings.

meh. Those pictures aren't that scary. What's scary is changing the light bulb on the top of a radio mast. Click on this and see if it makes your palms sweat:

“El Camino del Rey”.

Gets bone-marrow-curdling about 80 seconds in.

That looks like the one that shatters glass as you walk on it as an effect..which freaks people out because china walkways have had glass shatter

No, as someone else said; it was the switchback. A drone was used no some of the overheads.

China has become a "can do" country, like once upon a time we used to be.

We have become timid wusses.

Those pictures remind me of the ones taken during the building of the Golden Gate bridge, Empire State building, Hoover dam etc.

Maybe not as scary as this walkway in Spain: El Camino del Rey.

Apparently this has been repaired now. - link
