New York Times reports:
One idea now being discussed under this scenario, brought up by two different White House officials who spoke on condition of anonymity, would be for Gov. Kay Ivey of Alabama to immediately appoint Attorney General Jeff Sessions to what had been his seat when it becomes vacant again. Mr. Sessions remains highly popular among Alabama Republicans, but his relationship with President Trump has waned since he recused himself from the investigation of the role that Russia played in last years campaign.

Newt Gringich just stated on Hannity that if Moore is elected, he will be the Senator; the Senate cannot keep him out—no Constitutional provision to stop him.

FAKE NEWS! Indeed. For this to work, Strange would have to resign, Sessions would have to be appointed, and the special election would have to be cancelled. Ivey has already said she wasn't going to do that.

Trump punking the fake news at the most, truth to the least.
Not constitutional.

FAKE NEWS is right. Fake outrage and fake tears and the citizens of Alabama have to be aware of the effort being made to steal an election from them and from their legal candidate. This will tarnish the state of Alabama if it is allowed to happen. The citizens of Alabama must not allow themselves to be made a toy of political games which are about anything other than what is good for their state. Stay strong Alabama. Support your candidate Judge Moore whom the DC elite are scared to death of. Unsubstanuated charges and no proof of wrong doing by this candidate must not become the norm for future elective offices. You are in the eye of a political storm which will have long lasting impact on the future of all of the states and on how the federal govt will be run.

Has everyone on this message board COMPLETELY LOST THEIR MINDS? Yes. Also, I see a lot of Milquetoast people writing that Moore should back out until he clears his name. They do not seem to care the Dems have used this tactic for decades just prior to election days to smear Republicans and every single time the accusers crawl back under their rocks after the Republican wins.

Hopefully, POTUS.45’s intent is to indicate how ridiculous that would appear!

This of course obviates the fact that Moore will remain on the ballot

I like it. Sessions will win back the Senate seat and the new AG won’t have to recuse him or herself and go full bore against the Clinton Crime Family.

Sessions is crap in Alabama now.

This is perhaps the dumbest plan ever. Roy Moore won the primary. He is and will remain the Republican nominee unless he decides not to be.

Question: What if Gloria Allred and her ilk then are able to fabricate some sort of sexual harrassment charges against Sessions? How will that solve the RNCs problem? That's true - never stand between Allred and a case of white-out.
