New York Times reports:
One idea now being discussed under this scenario, brought up by two different White House officials who spoke on condition of anonymity, would be for Gov. Kay Ivey of Alabama to immediately appoint Attorney General Jeff Sessions to what had been his seat when it becomes vacant again. Mr. Sessions remains highly popular among Alabama Republicans, but his relationship with President Trump has waned since he recused himself from the investigation of the role that Russia played in last year’s campaign.

Fox news reported earleir today that Sessions is telling people he’s not interested in going back to the Senate.
They might succeed in getting the Dim elected if they should manage to get Luther Strange, or someone other the Sessions to run as a write-in. I think Sessions is the only one in the state who could win on a write-in. At present, I don't think there are many highly regared Republicans in the state who are well known statewide.
But Moore could also still win if the accusations don't start sticking with too many Republicans voters.

What happened to due process? Judge Moore is being tried by media and establishment republicrats.
He ahouldd go back because he is fast becoming the logjam that could do severe damage to the presidency he supported so early and so passionately.
Sounds like fake news to me; however, Sessions would do just fine in Alabama - Jones would be fortunate to pull 40%.

Doesn’t matter. They can replace every single ballot, take Judge Roy’s name completely off there, and I will still write him in. And if a write-in is not possible, I will tear up my ballot right there in the polling place, and I will never vote in another election ever again. I mean, why vote? The Deep State controls the candidates, the Deep State keeps out the ones they don’t want, so why even vote?

Last April, the Gov had considered not holding a special election to save the state money. But he decided it would go forward. It is theoretically possible for him to stop this one, but he is apparently not going to do that. Sessions as write in will split vote and allow RAT to win.

Yes, and I brought that up myself a few posts back, when I mentioned he’s so squeaky clean they’ve had to go back 38 years to trump up charges against him.
“I actually like this plan, as long as Trump also appoints Moore to replace Sessions!”
