How fast? Try an elapsed time of 9.65 seconds at 140 mph. Zero to 60 mph happens in a mere 2.3 seconds. The Demon is also the first production car to achieve a front-wheel lift. Its 840-hp of awesomeness.

Automotive News, the leading trade publication covering the auto industry, called for banning the Demon from the street in an editorial last April.
The car "is so inherently dangerous to the common safety of motorists that its registration as a road-worthy automobile should be banned," it wrote, citing its "barely legal" tires and massive acceleration.
Controversial? Please note that Tesla makes a car with an even FASTER 0-60 TIME!!! Perhaps I missed it? I have yet to see anyone wanting to ban Teslas??????????
Let's ban the great and glorious earth saving Teslas!!
As it now stands each time someone plunks down the long green ($130k+) for their Tesla, I have to help pay for it! Taxpayers are forced to assist this poor soul with his payments. Worse still, the great salesman Elon Musk also has his hands deep in my wallet.
Ban the money guzzling Teslas!!

All that horsepower so you can drive 70 mph on the Interstate. Not a fan of banning though. If you can afford it and want one, go for it. This is American after all.

Uncontainable horse power !!
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Actually, it is intentionally contained to a top speed of 168 mph because of the tires (they are designed for acceleration, not top end speed). I’m no expert. I was just curious about the top end so I just read about it.

I think paradoxical names like "Bumblebee" and even "Road Runner" with the cute cartoon bird are cooler.
I'd feel cooler stepping inside a 800+HP "Kitten," "Muffin" or "Lil' Pony" than putting a key in my (black and red, yawn) car and having to see a silly "Demon" on a TV screen in the dash wink at me.
Then again, I'd have a place to stick all my "No Fear" stickers.
How about the Dodge

Also, to take it to the track. These things would be a hoot at an SCCA event.

That’s not it.
My wife has a Subaru Forester. No she is not a lesbian. When I go to pass someone, it is an all day affair. It is epicly underpowered.
I have an Infiniti G35. When I pass someone, I don’t even need to downshift. It has that much torque and horsepower. I drive on one of the most dangerous highways in the country. You need to get in and out of trouble very quickly.

Amen! They’re both fast cars, impractical and unnecessary trinkets for those who can afford them, and who certainly don’t care what anyone thinks about their choices.
