Faith No More’s Chuck Mosley Dead at 57 (Died Friday)
Spin ^ | November 11, 2017 | Rob Arcand

Former Faith No More frontman Chuck Mosley has died. After years of sobriety, Mosley passed away on Friday November 9 “due to the disease of addiction,” according to a statement from his family. “He is survived by long-term partner Pip Logan, two daughters, Erica and Sophie and his grandson Wolfgang Logan Mosley,” the note continues. “The family will be accepting donations for funeral expenses.”

In a statement, Faith No More shared: “It’s with a heavy, heavy heart we acknowledge the passing of our firmed and bandmate, Chuck Mosley. He was a reckless and caterwauling force of energy who delivered with conviction and helped us set on a track of uniqueness and originality that would not have developed the way it had had he not been a part. How fortunate we are to have been able to perform with him lat year in a reunion style when we re-released our very first record. His enthusiasm, his sense of humor, his style and his bravado will be missed by so many. We were a family, an odd and dysfunctional family, and we’ll be forever grateful for the time we shared with Chuck.”

“He is survived by long-term partner Pip Logan”

Don’t know him, don’t care. I tend to avoid people living with “partner” anyway. The people I like have wife or husband or are single, that’s it.

That was my 5 seconds of virtue signalling.

Please add another 5 seconds for me.

Partner is becoming a key word in our local Obits column.

"the disease of addiction"

Disease, huh?

Does one contract addiction through contagion, transmission, or genetics?

I suppose poor lifestyle choices have nothing to do with it.

I give Mick credit for staying in shape. He should enter a fitness competition, he’d be competitive for his age group.

Yep, Mick has been a health nut for quite awhile.

Still, it would be funny, if Keith winds up outliving him.

I was never a fan of Faith No More but they had one quasi hit which was actually pretty influential. They blended some hard rock with a white guy rap, beginning a trend of rap and rock crossing over into each other. Yes, Aerosmith and Run DMC did a song together years earlier but that was a novelty that wasn't really followed up on.

I remember when that Faith No More tune "You want it all but you can't have it ..." (whatever it's name was) was playing back in the day and I was hanging out with a buddy who was in a metal band. I mentioned that the singer was essentially rapping and my buddy was upset, he HATED rap and loved that song so he denied, denied, denied. But it was true and like I said, it was the first "hit" of it's kind (as far as I know).

Never head of them. Or him.

But he had "a reckless and caterwauling force of energy who delivered with conviction and helped us set on a track of uniqueness and originality that would not have developed the way it had had he not been a part"!

I know this is a serious subject, but the Engrish in this story published at the same site is epic:

Actor Anthony Edwards has accused writer Gary Goddard of molesting him for years.

In a minute minute published to Medium, Edwards, now 55, recalls assembly Goddard when he was just 12 years old. He also says his best crony was raped by the producer, who is best famous for his work on films like “Masters of the Universe” and several thesis park attractions for Universal Studios and Six Flags.

“Pedophiles chase on the weak. My father, who suffered from undiagnosed PTSD from WWII, was not emotionally available. Everyone has the need to bond, and we was no exception. My disadvantage was exploited. we was molested by Goddard, my best crony was raped by him  —  and this went on for years. The organisation of us, the gang, stayed quiet,” Edwards writes.

He adds, “I happened to run into Gary Goddard at an airport. we was means to demonstrate my outrage at what he had done. He swore to his distress and pronounced that he had gotten help. we felt a proxy clarity of relief. we contend proxy since when Goddard seemed in the press 4 years ago for purported passionate abuse, my fury resurfaced.”

A orator for Goddard “unequivocally” denied the allegations in a matter supposing to CBS News.

By the way, this Goddard monster is a cohort of Bryan Singer.
