McCain: Roy Moore ‘Should Immediately Step Aside’ From Alabama Senate Race

Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.) called on Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore to "immediately step aside" on Thursday.

"The allegations against Roy Moore are deeply disturbing and disqualifying," McCain wrote. "He should immediately step aside and allow the people of Alabama to elect a candidate they can be proud of."

The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators – Alan Cranston (Democrat of California), Dennis DeConcini (Democrat of Arizona), John Glenn (Democrat of Ohio), John McCain (Republican of Arizona), and Donald W. Riegle, Jr. (Democrat of Michigan) – were accused of improperly intervening in 1987 on behalf of Charles H. The question to ask is why is this F even allowed to serve? MOST people when they have BRAIN cancer go out on medical leave. But not this guy, no, nobody says anything. They are just going to allow him to his dying breath to help the Democraps destroy this country as much as possible. I have a friend whose husband had brain cancer and eventually died, but to make it short he basically went out of his mind. And this is perfectly acceptable to the political slimebags in Washington, to allow this guy to continue to serve when MORE THAN LIKELY, he's going to be completely out of his mind. Yeah, that's real good for the country.
