“The world has gotten darker,” says actor/director Kevin Sorbo, explaining why he’s teamed up with Sean Hannity to bring “Let There Be Light,” a film full of hope, faith and love, to theaters this week.
“The world has gotten more evil,” said the 57-year-old actor, who co-wrote the film with his wife, Sam. “And this movie is about bringing lightness to the darkness, because dark hates the light.
“People are looking for hope. They are looking for a glimmer of something positive in their lives, because so much negativity happens. Evil, a lot of times, is so hard explain it, why people do the stuff that they do that hurts so many people’s lives.
“And we have fallen apart,” said Sorbo, who starred in the TV series “Hercules” and “Andromeda.” “This country is founded on Judeo-Christian values, and now we are a secular nation and you can see the anger and the hate.”
The movie follows the life journey of its lead character, Dr. Sol Harkens, as he converts to Christianity.

The Hays code was in effect until 1965.
The Hays Code even extended to animated cartoon movies to such an extent that the ‘career’ of the famous cartoon character Betty Boop was ruined.
The Hays Code required that women, in love scenes, at all times have “at least one foot on the floor” (in other words, no love scenes in bed).
People could not be in a horizontal position if they were kissing.

evil has always existed- it’s just that now we’re introduced to it 24-7 on hte news- in papers, on Internet, on radio etc- we’re just more aware of it now-
I will say though that the evil no longer try to hide their evil- they are now brazenly wearing it as a badge of honor in their sick twisted world- not long ago- politicians used to try to hide their disdain for moral values, and for our constitution because they KNEW that they would be called out for it- but since obama took office- i noticed a profound change in how brazen the left have become in their disdain for morality, for our flag, for justice etc- One more rabid liberal president, and this country will be unrecognizable practically- Heck- it’s already drastically changed since even the 1990’s early 2000’s- this is a much much different USA today with it’s gay marriage, it’s transgender bathroom issue- with the gay population aggressively pushing their sin throughout our schools- with people like deblasio declaring it a crime to call someone something other than what they prefer to be called- with states making it illegal for parents to take sick confused kids to counseling because they are duped into thinking they are gay etc etc etc=-

You are correct. I contend such things went in maximum overdrive with the advent of one Barack Hussein Obama.

I have just returned from a Sunday 10 pm showing of the movie tonight. It was a nice movie with a well captured “moment of light” and a man’s transformation from Lost to Saved, again. I would say it is a good film on a variety of levels - it can reach people, it creates hope and confronts the evil of ISIS head on.

“Alfred Hitchcock Presents” was before my time but I love that show. I watch it on Hulu. I also love “Twilight Zone”.
Unfortunately, there are very few modern television shows worth watching.
His wife Sam used to have a radio show I enjoyed.
Seems all of his rules were for naught......
I believe he was elected to actually out the communist Satanists within our nation. If he had not been elected would we be yelling “DRAIN THE SWAMP?”
The rules expired in favor of the ratings we have today, which allow for entertainment beyond what is good for 12 year-olds. I’m all for as much freedom as possible.
We just saw the movie and thought it was excellent. Were worried it might be cheesy, being an independent film and all, but it was very professional. Many of the cast aren’t professional actors, but they did so well.
We were surprised to see former mafia guy Michael Franzese in it, especially in the role he was in.
