The public outcry was so great that the federal government were seriously considering the establishment of a national censorship board. To prevent this happening Hollywood moguls and the movie studios decided to voluntarily censor films themselves. Seems all of his rules were for naught......

The rules expired in favor of the ratings we have today, which allow for entertainment beyond what is good for 12 year-olds. I’m all for as much freedom as possible.
