Hell - when I was in the Electronic Security Command in Italy in the late '70s, there was a big bust where 40+ folks, who had TS/SCI clearances with special Code Word access to boot were rounded up. The rub is that with all them off the floor, the mission couldn't be completed so they opted to slap a bunch of hands and only prosecute the few "ringleaders".

Makes me take all the claims of "National Security" with a pound of salt these days...

Right - plus some guys will want to be protective of a woman, some will take no time in coming on to a new woman in the crew, another quiet guy really likes the girl and silently fumes, and the efficiency and competency of the unit is destroyed. The crew no longer a crew.

I saw it in industry when we were forced to bring women into all male work force. Crew efficiency worsened, rapport among the work force disappeared, plant production fell off, etc. It just doesn’t work.

Some women just cannot fit in a submarine. Tight quarters....
