A female friend of mine went on a foreign business trip early in her career with two colleagues who were both male, married, and senior to her at the company. After dinner with a client, hours after she had retired to her room, around 1 a.m., one of her coworkers knocked on her hotel door and asked if she would come out for a drink. She declined. After another hour, around 2 a.m., the other coworker knocked on her door. When she opened it a crack, he tried to push his way into her room. She fought him off. All three still work together.

So basically don’t act like a big Hollywood democrat supporter/donor or a muslim...
STFU, Kaitlin.
57 items? My whole repertoire for interacting with women cant have more than 8 or 9 items to it that covers the whole gamut of treating them or ignoring them - and Im 65....everything is so dang complicated these days.....
Great advice, but the last line of the article sums it up perfectly.
Did this happen in Naples?
How about just act like a conservative. I met my wife at work and darn if I didn’t have to pursue her every day to finally catch her in a place where I could ask her out. Over 20 something years ago.
or Bill Clinton.
I find it tragically ironic that all these women are now very concerned about men's behavior, but when Bill Clinton was in the White House having a 22 year old intern ‘service’ him, it was ‘just sex’. The hypocrisy is immense.
The sum of the article is to stop using what men think are cute come-=on’s to the woman.
We can see them for what they are.
57?
Geez. At least condense your list of demands to 50.
Final line of the article: And if she wants to f#@k you, she will tell you.
Aside from that, I don’t engage in any of the behaviors the author rails about. In fact, I take pains to keep things non-sexual with co-workers.
The flip side is that women DO use sex (or the hint thereof) to get what they want. Or to get help. That often includes flirting or dressing the part (in a subtle way). I’ve also heard women talking about men in pretty graphic terms (when they thought no man was in earshot). Lastly, not so long ago, women were complaining that they were not part of the “boys club”. The price of admission there is some degree of raunchiness which women will no doubt find offensive.
I’m glad to be retired.
It’s a minefield out there.
LOL! Oh man, you're in trouble now. Giving a rat's ass is number 17 on the list. And of course, not telling her to STFU is way up at number 2.
I rate this post -4.5 pink pussy hats.
I.e., if you detect that a woman has these 57 rules, and that she has her radar on you, looking for creepy things, have as little to do with her as possible and never treat her the way you would a person you actually like. Treat her with suspicion at all times.
Yes, there are lines, boundaries. Every person is entitled to those boundaries. You ought to be able to assess them early on as you get to know them, and observe the boundaries she gives off. But if they have a mindset like the one described here, detect that there is a chip on her shoulder and avoid her like the plague she is.
I know there are people who are as cut-and-dried as this witch; and I know there are guys who are boorish. But, as a man, I hate to be held in such low contempt as this snoot has described. I avoid such people whenever possible. And if she ever asks me if I’m avoiding her, I’ll be horribly offended.
A person who has a list of 57 things on any topic isn’t doing anything useful with his or her workday.
You know, I am actually starting to think something is wrong with ME! Apparently every other woman in the world is so irresable that men are constantly throwing themselves at them and just cant help but make advances. I have been in the workforce with men for 30 years nothing. Not so much as a glance. Am I that ugly and unappealing? I guess so.
Gold Star post on the subject...
>>But the fact is, its you. Its men. The social ill that we cant quite put our finger on is men.
Because no woman ever has been a sexual aggressor.
Because no woman ever has been a sexual predator (against women or men).
She’s a sexist writer.
Go flaunt your pipe dream that a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. But then wonder why NOW was founded by a bunch of lesbians and miss out on how they pushed for sexual impropriety and defended Bill Clinton when he engaged in workplace sexual affairs (some consensual many were not, all were one time considered verbotten).
I'm deplorable ...
But if she asks nicely, I'll find a rat and chop it in half. She can have the tail end ...
“I need you to stop doing that” is something a parent or kindergarten teacher would say. I guess she thought it was cute instead of bossy. Totally annoying.
