Hardly. Gentlemen notice ladies, but do so with care, so as to remain gentlemen. From your screen name, you are a mother, so it is likely that you exuded a satisfaction with your life outside of work that helped these gentlemen remain gentlemen (and thereby escaping notice).

I have worked with women for nearing 30 years, and yet have never acted boorish. Being a gentleman at work certainly has helped me with my 28 year marriage. (Marrying a saint helped, too - she has to put up with ME! LOL)

There is not a thing wrong with you.

I was very attractive in my younger days.

I controlled whether I received advances or not by my behavior. Where I looked, how I responded to men whether at work or at play.

If I wasn’t interested, the men knew it.

I remember that there was a specialist in our area who had been found to be sexually fondling and abusing a number of women in his practice. My PCP had referred me to this man and I had seen him three or four times. After the scandal broke he asked me whether this man had been a problem for me. I looked at the PCP and said: I am just not the kind of woman that men can abuse.

My PCP looked at me a moment, and said, Yes, that he could see that.
