Tonight’s episode of Star Trek: Discovery boldly went where Star Trek has never gone before, at least in terms of language.

It’s a shame they want to make people from the future sound like people from the ghetto.

Is Axanar dead? I thought an effort was still being made to finish it, after the legal battles ended in January.

LIVE! From New York, It's... the densitization, demoralization, and subversion of American Culture!

For an explicit demonstration of the process of desensitization at workWatch and compare episodes of SNL between 1975 and present. A long long way from "cone heads".

EHRLICHMAN: It's fatal liberality.

NIXON: Huh?

EHRLICHMAN: It's fatal liberality. And with its use on television, it has such leverage.

NIXON: You know what's happened [in northern California]?

EHRLICHMAN: San Francisco has just gone clear over.

NIXON: But it's not just the ratty part of town. The upper class in San Francisco is that way. The Bohemian Grove, which I attend from time to time--it is the most faggy goddamned thing you could ever imagine, with that San Francisco crowd. I can't shake hands with anybody from San Francisco.

Decorators. They got to do something. But we don't have to glorify it. You know one of the reasons fashions have made women look so terrible is because the goddamned designers hate women. Designers taking it out on the women. Now they're trying to get some more sexy things coming on again.

EHRLICHMAN: Hot pants.

NIXON: Jesus Christ.

And I thought Star Trek broke through a barrier in the third movie when Dr. McCoy called Mr. Spock “That green-blooded son of a bitch.”

Not to be pedantic, but...

From the Urban Dictionary:

Feldercarb

An expletive used by the characters of Battlestar Galactica that refers to the putrid and crusty black grime that would accumulate on various pieces of machinery and required scraping off during maintenance. Possibly Battlestar-speak for bs."

I still say "frack" and "feldercarb".

My liberal friend was on am upset rant as to how badly written the series is. Come on! If a liberal Trump hater hates a liberal Star Trek show, chances are it really is bad. TBH, I liked the original series and part of Next Generation. Other series, not so much.

Axanar looked like it would be good.

But I had very low hopes for this show since they announced who the lead actress was. Her character on The Walking Dead was all scowls and anger all the time; the actress seemed very limited because she never showed a hint of uncertainty or vulnerablity. Just “who need you, youd just get in my way!” crap. So I figured “boy if they make her the angry loner this show will suck”. From what I’ve seen that’s what they did. Sigh.

I sure hope not. Quentin Tarrant has guys get their crotch destroyed. Sure, it’s usually to a rapist or a killer, but it still hurts to watch.

TOS was great. No interest in anything since.

If you have Netflix, you should give Star Trek: Enterprise a try. It was 4 seasons of Awesome. Its timeline pre-dates TOS.

My son is setting up a fire stick with some ‘do dad l’ or another. Nuff said.

I’m not computer illiterate. Just barely literate.

It’s dead Jim!

I watch the originals as a kid, and then the movies with the original cast. I never got into any of the spin offs. Almost 50 years since the original series and Neil Armstrong's walk on the moon, with still no flying cars or colonies on Mars, the actors and a drama queens of the spin off shows must feel pretty pathetic playing the cheesy politically correct roles of today, or maybe its their 'reality'.

Double dumbass on you!

I admit to being a Star Trek junky. Call me a nerd. But THAT was the worst Star Trek movie ever. I was embarrassed by it.

First, it was an attempt to re-create the original Star Trek Movie. Next, we had to save the Whales in the future for the earths survival? But before any of that could happen, we had to invent time travel. And WTF did the Klingons have to do with the story line?

It was a funny line in the movie though.

I'd hate to be the person who has to program the universal translator for that. Who wants a interstellar war on their heads over a mistranslation?

The show is ok. Once my cbs free trial is done I won’t pay for it though.

You mean “Stand aside, Butch”? I had no issues with that happening to Zedd.

When I was a kid, I used to scan the arrest records in my small town newspaper, and I remember numerous citations for Public Profanity. These days you can’t go outside your house without hearing profanity at some point.

In my small town it's pretty rare. Happens, but so infrequently that it's not worth mentioning.

I was surprised when I heard that last night. Not just once but twice. Disappointed really.

Pedowood is trying to normalize the F word on tv now. They can’t do it on broadcast tv but they are doing it on all the cable channels and other pay channels.

The left are experts at incrementalism. All part of the plan to degrade and demoralize the USA to achieve a larger agenda.
