Laz: Why did the Leftist press decide to expose Harvey Weinstein.  Why, after all these years did they break their silence on something that all the people knew about? I am very curious because for the New York Times and New Yorker to let the word out about this is totally out of character. My theory is it's one of the following reasons:

1. Against their character, a critical mass of powerful Hollywood women finally decided to band together and take him down.
   
   
2. Because people realized that Fake Media is so fake and so anti-American, they decided they needed to make someone a scapegoat to say, "See, the NYT is not biased".  So they picked someone big, but vulnerable.  They did not choose to take down the Clintons because the Clintons use the Arkanacide option.
   
   
3. The rise of conservative social media, Judge Moore's election, and the take-no-prisoners attack by Steve Bannon forced the Media to throw up a token victim.
   
   
4. The MAGA movement and Trump presidency has become so strong that NYT felt they needed to (at least one time) do something righteous -- to mask their constant lies.

Why in the New York Times break this story? To me, this is the crucial question in this Harvey Weinstein controversy. But no one is asking or taking about this question.
