A Jacksonville elementary school has returned toilet paper to its bathrooms after an Action News Jax story aired Friday evening.
Carter G. Woodson Elementary School had been refusing to put toilet paper in the stalls there
Instead, parents told Action News Jax, teachers at the Magnolia Gardens neighborhood school were handing wads of toilet paper to individual students, as needed.
Half an hour after Action News Jaxs story aired, Duval County Public Schools spokesperson Laureen Ricks called the newsroom to say toilet paper has now been returned to the stalls.

It had nothing to do with rationing.
“Paging Sheryl One Sheet Crowe”
Amazing how many people remember that. I do.
They took away the toilet paper because the kids wouldn’t stop trashing the bathrooms. It was a reoccurring daily event! It was a desperate attempt to change the feral culture of the students.
I wonder if it did any good? Time will tell . . .
That’s true. St Johns has good schools.
There is something about a master’s degree in education (the school administrators) which make a person a coward and incredibly stupid.
OK, I take back my comment.
BTW, you misspelled *ferals*.
“BTW, you misspelled *ferals*.”
Either way is every reason to homeschool. Who sends their kids to school with feral children?
Toilet patrol needed. If perpetrators are caught and punished the crime may just go down the toilet.
At Lyman Ward Military Academy we attached the toilet paper rolls with chains and locks. Otherwise the roll would be thrown in first thing in the morning. Cadets then had to work a little harder to cause trouble.
At other times to curtail hooliganism the Dean’s Office handed out a limited amount of toilet paper with the bathroom pass.
Pictured is a squat toilet with lota filled with water. This solution will require a complete retofit of all the restrooms.
Method: Hold container with your right hand and pour water out of it. You use your left hand to guide the water to clean yourself. Make sure you wash your hands with soap and water, afterwards.
The teacher staff will have to beta test this for six months before forcing it on the children.
/sarc :)
I’d wager the kids were doing mischief and causing problems and damage with toilet paper. Folks want to teach thugs a lesson then they bitch when someone actually responds in an effective way. Give it a little longer and some kids may have ratted on the main trouble makers....
No idea, however I'm sitting in my cube humming "In The Ghetto" by Elvis, but sung in Eric Cartman's voice.
This was de rigor in the Hartford Schools; routinely, kids would purposely clog the toilets with paper...keep on flushing ...and the poor custodian was left with mopping up the stinky mess.
Teachers had to hand out as many sheets as a kid wanted/needed...then they had to monitor any giggling sounds coming from the loo.
Then there the times that boys would try to see who could pee the highest on the wall. The custodian’s job is hard enough, without having to deal with this uncivilized behavior.
Eventually the school dept remodeled the bathrooms, to the tune of hundreds of thousands. Within one week, the little savages had torn off the new stall doors b/c the kids were swinging on them. Doors were removed and not replaced.
