Your tofu comment reminded me of the photo of an empty refrigerated grocery cabinet ahead of one of the recent hurricanes. Empty, that is, save for the full amount of tofu still available. Even the vegans know tough times will require nutrient dense protein and fat.

I have a hard time believing that the growers of meat will refrain from using antibiotics and growth-promoting anything they can get hold of, or that the meat will be grown under scrupulously sterile conditions.
