The iconic founder of Playboy Magazine Hugh Hefner died at 91, the magazine announced Wednesday night.
The publisher of the quintessential mens lifestyle magazine built an empire around the alluring business.
Playboy announced his death in a tweet.

That and the TV adaptation of “In The Heat Of The Night*” are so, so bad. Cringe worthy. That late 80s-early 90s Bush Sr. timeframe was mostly puke time for TV.
TV really has been pretty always much crap. Different grades of crap, but still crap.
*The film version is damn good. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it.
If they were to have done “Heat” as a series, the time to have done it would’ve been after the movie in the late ‘60s or early ‘70s. It was puzzling when Carroll O’Connor chose to do it almost 20 years after the fact when it was no longer as “socially relevant.”
Heck, they did a COMEDY version of “Heat” in 1977 called “Carter Country”, featuring Victor French (close friend of Michael Landon, on both “Little House” and “Highway to Heaven”) as the Chief and Keen Curtis ostensibly in the Sidney Poitier role (but this time as a Sergeant). Curtis was later on “Matlock” as an investigator for Andy Griffith’s character. They showed it in reruns in the ‘80s, but not much since. It wasn’t bad and managed to last 44 episodes in two seasons.
Whoops, meant Kene Holliday. Keene Curtis played the stuffy owner of ‘Melville’s’ over the “Cheers” bar.
I don’t apologize to witches for enjoying women
Vile poster
We used to have a swarm of women like that here
Peruse old history.....of said poster.....she’s a freak show....she considers herself an arbiter of salvation regularly
I’m guessing never gets any attention
So sexual morality isn’t much of an issue for her to begin with
Naked women bother some here
Scary if they had real power
Didn’t that one claim to be a male ? Anyway, we have some good Christians on FR and some not-so-good ones. It’s amazing for one so pious that it has never appeared in any prayer threads (to my knowledge) or worship threads on here daily.
I also remember those “wimmin” you’re talking about. The ugly old hags that were so excited about Scum Willard, despite his not being a Christian or a Conservative. They attacked me in the same vile terms for daring to expose that fraud. Some seriously sick souls.
I thought naked women had a lot of power. ;-D
“...Hef was never an outspoken Marxist type Soros wacko..”
He was merely liberal, basically; not a commie POS.
Lived one hell of a life, for sure. 91 ain’t a bad run.
They certainly always have had over me since mid 70s
It writes like a woman
If it’s a man.....that’s even more bizarre
Too coward to give personal info
RIP Hugh, may God have mercy on his soul.
Not to toot my own horn, but...more & more folks are picking up on my points about canceling cable and sending the googles back to the jungle.

@Impy: Kurt Sutter is one of (((them))) apparently.

“Carter Country”: Just when things could get worse...
Although it’s probably still better than either “Matlock” or “In The Heat Of The Night”.
I’ll say it again: TV has always mostly been crap.
couldn’t
Apparently, this is a man. It divulged this today in another thread:
“I suppose it all comes down to ones view of women. As a 30-year (very imperfect!) husband and father of girls - and lately the grandpa of a darling little girl - I feel very constrained to defend and protect the fairer sex. I was aware of Hefner many years ago when I lived in downtown Chicago and walked past the Playboy mansion off Rush street. I have no sympathy for the man and the deleterious impact he had on our society.”

Doing a bit of math, I’m guessing he’s in his 60s or so and who thinks he’s the sworn Christian defender of all women and their virtue.
I noticed he has been going on several other threads attacking and judging others on their Christianity. I told one of his targets that perhaps we should all file a complaint to have this character ZOT’ted.
A rabid white knight.
An insano who lets everyone know he’s a vet.
A closeted gay who molests deer.
Some real quality to be found on FR...
I happened to catch part of Broad City after South Park. Those two females are just absolutely execrable people. The fact is they’re hardly different than the real actresses, two diehard Hillarybots and deranged anti-Trump haters. The only thing that the one actress has going for her (Ilana) is a great rack, but her personality is so vile, her politics so evil, that I can’t imagine what male in his right mind would want to be with her other than for a single poke, and even that wouldn’t be worth the trouble. I was shocked to see she married some scientist this year, no doubt he is probably an epic beta cuck.
WNB either one. They look, act and are dirtier than dirt.
I saw the one episode with Tony Danza. Why? Because I like Tony Danza. There was something happening with a beanie baby? I felt drugged while watching.
My mouth was agape.
I’d rather watch a video of myself removing my own spleen with a grapefruit spoon than that “program” ever again.
If it wasn’t for South Park and Tosh, the rest of the shows on Comedy Central are largely unwatchable tripe and ultraleft propaganda. Curiously, the Black-themed cartoon “Legends of Chamberlain Heights” isn’t that bad.
We need a network that makes anti-left entertainment. There are really zero out there. No sitcoms, no dramas, no talk shows (a la Tonight Show or Daily Show). Over half the country is completely without entertainment that reflects their values, morals and sensibilities. What is produced now reflects an extremely small segment of the country. Considering less than a million viewers watch most of this garbage, it’s quite telling. The highest rated of tv shows today 30 years ago would’ve been dead last.
