What now?
Thats the question Danica Patrick faces now that she knows for certain she will not return to Stewart-Haas Racing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series next season. And considering that she barely scrapped enough funding together to keep the No. 10 afloat this season, it means her options are limited if she wants to remain in a competitive seat.
So what are her options?
From the outside looking in, its hard to see how Patrick remains in the Cup Series with a competitive ride, and she has continually discounted options in other divisions.
But for the sake of conversation, lets evaluate every potential landing spot and determine how realistic each of them are.

I’d like to get on Danica :)
NEVER will forget her losing watkin Glen over a sneaker thrOwn in her path.. A Nike moment. ;-)
Besides, Kathryn Legge was always a better driver than Danica Patrick ever was. And Legge is still acquitting herself well in the IMSA GT series.
She can get her own cooking show. Saw her on a cooking show, she was pretty good. She won.
There are other talented female drivers. Cristina Nielsen and Katherine Legge from IMSA come to mind. She, like Simona de Silvestro (who IMO had more talent than Danica during their Indycar tenure), have come off the top rung.
There are a lot of talented people for those few top-tier driving spots, and male or female without tons of outside money or buckets of talent and results, either of which fund teams, it doesn’t happen.
Danica won an indycar race at Twin Ring Motegi in Japan. It was a good race, too. It was primarily pit strategy that put her in winning position, but Danica kept it between the walls and drove a good race.
I cannot play quarterback nearly as well as Johnny Manziel, but that doesn’t mean I have to pretend he had a top flight NFL career.
That’s not the issue. The question is whether she got opportunities denied to others, solely due to her sex and looks. It is a “zero sum” game to get the top slots in racing, i.e., every time she gets a sponsored car someone else was being denied. We don’t know the names of the guys who were on the bubble (at least I don’t since I’m not a fan heh heh), but there were always guys being left out of NASCAR races who could also drive 200 mph with 35 cars around. SO if people resent Danica for getting money and opportunties that were not strictly “merit” based, that is quite reasonable. The question is not whether any of us is as good at racing as Danica, the question is was she better than every guy who was being excluded as she was chosen?
How original Maybe comments like yours are why each quarterly fundraiser takes so long
Just because I can’t doesn’t mean she can. One does not need to be able to throw a perfect spiral to see the QB can’t either.
Can she drive better than all the other drivers who couldn't land Cup rides in the last five years, that's the question.
True, who am I to question sex appeal??? One of my favorite things.... jk
I agree. My mother’s name was Danica and she pronounced it correctly.
Richard Petty was right when he said Danica Patrick would never win a NASCAR race.
Maybe, but we know how to use punctuation. That’s leaves us asking if you’re too dumb to use punctuation then what the Hell good is your opinion in the first place?
The Winery and robbing the cradle?
Not even a smidgen guilty but she is superbitch Number 1
LOL. She’s almost old enough to be his mom.
