I’ll skip. Thank you.
Sounds absolutely retarded
Why not a Native American American hero.?
Wasn’t the original series cancelled because the main character’s name was similar to the man who shot President Reagan?
Is this from the Onion?
Not to worry, the Robert Culp character will be recast as a bald sodomite.
The original wasn’t any good at all - Hollywood really is scraping the bottom of the barrel creatively, they’re now down to remaking bad old TV shows no one watched rather than try to come up with a single original idea.
What racism replacing a white make with an Indian woman. They’re just appropriating white culture.
Hyperbole aside -
It’s a stupid idea - the intent of casting the Indian woman is to lift up their appearance. Turning her into a loser super hero is anathema to the original story. So they’ll have to toss the whole loser point out and make her a “normal” super hero.
Of course it’ll bomb (I’ll not watch it) and it’ll all be rottentomatoes fault.
I liked that show. Too bad Robert Culp’s ego tanked it.
But I won’t bother with this one. I’m not the correct ethnographic, so I don’t want to appropriate anybody’s culture or anything.
No thanks
Lord I hated the original show. Is this is for creativity in Hollywood. I thought the original was kind of hokey when it was on.
Let’s go on and bring back “My Mother the Car”, with Hillary Clinton, “B.J. and the Bear”, “Moving On”, why not even “Then Came Bronson”.
Say what you want, but back when there were only three networks they had something for everyone.
Ralph KinleyHinkley, actually. They changed it to Hanley in the middle of the first season after the assassination attempt on Reagan.
GAH tried to introduce a female lead in 1981. It never even made it to TV. You can find the pilot and wince like everyone else did.
Gender rebooting movie and series is not creative or fresh or new.
Plus its only one way gender rebooting, so for half the viewers they’re not gonna care.
Just come up with something non female takeover, non social justice bs.
Where’s the photo of the Indian babe hottie?
What a waste of time.
Ralph Kinley???
Make that Ralph Hinkley. Of course, after Reagan was shot, he was referred to as Mr. H.
Because the female Ghostbusters movie did so well.
The original series folks already aired a female reboot, “The Greatest American Heroine” which ran 3 years after the otherwise final episode, in 1986. That ‘heroine’ was too much a green ditz to resurrect the series back then.
