A Dearborn couple is seeking unspecified damages for being served bacon on a pair of sandwiches earlier this summer.
A Muslim couple from Dearborn is suing Kentucky Fried Chicken for having recently been served bacon on a chicken sandwiches. An unspecified amount of damages are being sought by the couple, who purchased the sandwiches at a Lincoln Park KFC. They allege cheese and bacon were added to the sandwiches after they requested cheese only, according to a Detroit Free Press report.
In May, a Dearborn man of Muslim faith sued Little Caesars for $100 million after he was allegedly served and then accidentally ate pepperoni made with pork, a food prohibited by Islamic law. The boxes were labeled "halal," but the pies inside were topped with regular pepperoni.
Dearborn attorney Majed Moughni filed lawsuits in both cases. He is also representing a Jewish woman in Sterling Heights, who is suing Denny’s Restaurants for also having been served bacon, the Free Press reported.
“The newer lawsuits allege breach of contract, negligent representation, and are asking for monetary damages for what they said is emotional and physical distress from having eaten bacon. Both lawsuits have been filed in Wayne County Circuit Court.”
“At KFC we respect the religious beliefs of our guests of all faiths," said a KFC spokesman. "We believe this lawsuit was filed as a result of a miscommunication between the guest and our team member. We cannot comment further on pending litigation against one of our franchisees.”
If someone has strong food preferences and/or allergies....stay at home.

Most Orthodox Jews will not go into a KFC or any fast-food restaurant unless the restaurant is certified to serve only kosher food. Everything has to be kosher which doesn't only mean the absence of pork. All the food as to be prepared under rabbinic supervision. The restaurant cannot serve both meat and dairy products, etc.

“muslim couple” = scammers sent in by some shyster lawyer. They should have been told to just go somewhere else. Once a restaurant tries to cater to these people’s demands, they just get in worse trouble. Just tell them to take their business elsewhere - you sell what you sell, and if they don’t want it, why the heck are they there?
I’m trying to get a lawyer to take my case. My religion prohibits me from seeing a muslim anywhere out in society. It has happened several times. I am enraged and am having emotional problems about it. The anxiety at such encounters is completely unnerving. Does anyone have any leads?

This is the correct approach. These restaurants should post signs that clearly state that their food products contain ingredients that are not kosher or halal or anything of the sort. It is bad policy to try to accommodate the muzloid cranks and crazies for a few measly bucks. Better to head the problem off at the start and keep them from coming to the restaurants at all. I like that better, anyway.

I was a litigation analyst in the insurance industry prior to my retirement last year. Yeah, orthodox Jews do indeed file lawsuits.

Where this is going is all restaurants will go halal and enforce sharia$hit.
Once upon a time I was served a Filet o’Fish sandwich with a machine screw in it. Didn’t hurt my mouth, so I gave the screw back to the manager and left. Manager was virtually speechless.
Meanwhile their neighbors have been secretly shooting paintball with pigs blood at the muslims homes.
