President Trump announced today that the Voice of America would be reinvigorated and expanded. The President noted that millions of people were living under oppressive governments and unaware of their God given rights.
The program will use experts to present talks on Capitalism and the Constitution. Economists will explain how capitalism made our economy the best in the world. Supreme Court Justices, lawyers, historians, and other experts, that have read and understand the Constitution, will explain how the Constitution, with its checks and balances, separation of powers, bill of rights, etc. has allowed the US to be the most stable, enduring and free country in the world.
The President plans to fund the program with funds saved by cuts in the State Department personnel expenses. The program will be funded and operated by the State Department but with supervisory control by the White House.
Initial simul-casts will be in English, Spanish and Mexican. English and other languages will be designated as each further audience is selected and targeted.
Initial broadcasts will be to California, Oregon, and Washington State in December 2017 with additional broadcasts starting in January 2018 to New England and Northeast states. In February 2018 third world cities will be targeted including DC, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Austin, Detroit, etc.
First foreign broadcasts will be to Third World socialist, communists, and dictatorial countries in the EU, Mexico, Central & South America, Africa, Asia, Mideast.
Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Washington DC, Boston, NYC, Los Angeles, Philadelphia...
Nice.
Although, now retired, I remember Dick Bertel, a golden voice of WTIC radio, Hartford, CT.; when he left Hartford, he became involved with the VOA in Europe.
Dick became affiliate relations for VOA Europe from Germany. A spectacular guy.
Sorry I missed the *sarc*....I’ll slip away....quietly into my cave............................................
Sounds like Prager University feed to VOA.
