Rapper defiantly stares at eclipse, cancels Toronto show

For a rapper whose debut single was called "Unorthodox," Joey Bada$$ isn't one to accept conventional wisdom. Defying widespread warnings, he proudly stared at the solar eclipse without protection. It didn't turn out to be a great idea. The rapper cancelled three shows starting Wednesday as he complained about his vision.
The 22-year-old Brooklyn rapper on Monday shared on social media that he was gazing into the sky without special glasses as the United States witnessed its first coast-to-coast total eclipse in nearly a century. "This ain't the first solar eclipse and I'm pretty sure our ancestors ain't have no fancy eyewear. Also pretty sure they ain't all go blind," he tweeted.
But he also said that he was seeing in different colors. He said his three shows -- in Cleveland, Chicago and Toronto -- were canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances" and hinted that his vision was to blame. "Seeing double, stacking triple," he tweeted Wednesday, using hip-hop slang for cashing in.
The rapper -- whose latest album, "All-Amerikkkan Bada$$," tackles racism, mass incarceration and other issues facing the United States -- had unlikely company in his defiance at staring at the eclipse. U.S. President Donald Trump also looked into the sky without protection as cameras were on him, but only briefly. He has not reported any vision issues since.

"Due to unforeseen ciccumstances, my Cleveland, Chicago & Toronto shows on the #EverybodyTour are cancelled." No, I'm guessing his shows are being cancelled due to recently "seen" circumstances. Apparently he never heard the phrase: "That which has been seen can't be unseen."

Brilliant! He knows his rap career is short lived, so he will claim PTSD and SS benefits for disability.
Yay.

I think he just took a quick glimpse in the general vicinity of the son after he took off the glasses... Yes, after absorbing the power of the eclipse, Trump turned to Barron and shared the energy with him...

Yeah, a character cross between Clayton Bigsby and Dave’s Rick James imitation would do it.

Teachable moment:
Okay class, find three grammatical and two logical errors in this tweet from Mr. Bada**. Extra credit for correctly extrapolating the double negatives:
“This ain’t the first solar eclipse and I’m pretty sure our ancestors ain’t have no fancy eyewear. Also pretty sure they ain’t all go blind.”

How about the half with IQs above the mean?
It doesn't work that way.
When you're around people, no matter what race or place of origin, there is no way that you can tell what their intelligence level is. And, no, doing stupid things is no way to judge intelligence, because, even the smartest people on Earth do stupid things, as YOU might have already noticed.
But, you can take the path that Hitler took, and judged a whole people as undesirable and needing of eradication.
Me? Well, I think that what needs to be eradicated is bigotry.
Methinks that there are also people on the planet who will grab onto any study which seemingly justifies their feelings about a race or people (such as studies of IQ), and will forever use that study as justification (and rationalization) for their behavior.
BTW, have you ever heard of a study done by a university professor which resulted in naming Puerto Ricans as the "perfect human"? I don't give that study too much credibility either, but, there might be some who would take that study and run around with a feeling of superiority. It's still dumb and stupid.
I believe that there is just one race of humans, with different characteristics, such as different skin colors and different hair and different color eyes, etc. How 'bout you? Are you still superior to the other races?

Eradicate bigotry? Quixotic. Stereotypes exist for a reason. A Republic exists to guarantee the rights of individuals.
The former is a matter of opinion, the latter a matter of law. The point is to not codify matters of opinion, like, oh I dunno, hate crime legislation.
