Hank Aaron is very fond of playing the race card. We in Atlanta have seen this time and again.
He’s also not the sharpest knife in the drawer -

Colin was treated like a prime candidate for success. He blew it. He has dishonored the very country that encouraged his success.
Hank....you were of a different time.

Off topic but you mention safety. I have wondered why many ballparks are in bad neighborhoods. Even some of the newer ballparks have been placed in bad areas.
To: treetopsandroofs
HEck I won’t watch it because they allowed him and others to make the game political.

I can see why Aaron’s generation is bitter. Kaepernick doesn’t have any excuse. He’s been nothing but privileged his whole life. It’s not that Kaepernick is protesting the flag to make positive change anyway.

I don’t watch because the NFL has sucked ever since they allowed the little snowflakes to celebrate after tying their shoes!!

I dumped MLB when Curt Flood was yelping he was being treated as a slave, so FU Aaron.

Hank Aaron is the greatest homerun hitter in my life time.
But the reason Kap has no job is his performance not his politics.
The only question the NFL asks is can this player help us win. If the answer to that question is yes, all others can be dealt with. Colins record since his SB loss has been dismal and that is the reason he has no job. Yet! The season is yet to begin.
So wait for it.

Sad that Hank would demean himself this way. He is actually one of the true heroes of civil rights. Everybody know who Jackie Robinson was. People often don’t realize that players like Roy Campanella and Hank Aaron faced the same ugliness without the recognition.

“I dont even think that Trump will be allowed near Game 1 of the 2017 World Series, especially if it is in Los Angeles, home of the Dodgers.”
If that’s the case, you can bet that’s all the pre-game announcers (with Pete Rose in the box again?) will be gleefully talking about.

I never realized Hank Aaron was black. Ive often heard the name, but today was the first time I actually looked up his picture. I didn't either... but then until recently we never bothered to care if someone was black/white/brown/whatever.

Never liked him past childhood
His True Colors came out long ago
Maybe we can buddy up with Alcindor and play video games on Fall Sundays

LOL! The BLMer's won't watch because of how the NFL "treated" Kaepernick. The vast majority of fans won't watch because of how the NFL didn't handle Kaepernick disrespecting the country and the national anthem.
Who's watching the NFL?
To: treetopsandroofs
I never thought he was a good football player anyway.
To: Fantasywriter
You must be very young.
Aaron’s pursuit of Babe was in large part about race. With the black and liberal racists jerking off over 714

I was a big fan of Hank Aaron at one time. I didn’t care if he was black.
It’s sad that he’s been bitter for so many years.

Ira Berkow wrote ("Hank Aaron Still Wields a Hammer," The Times, Feb. 24) that Hank Aaron hit 41 more homers than Babe Ruth but failed to mention that Aaron needed 12,364 at bats to hit 755 homers and Ruth hit 714 homers in 8,399 at bats. If Ruth had the same at bats as Aaron he would have hit 1,051! Willie Mays and Harmon Killebrew both hit 45 or more home runs in a season four times each. Aaron did it twice, Joe DiMaggio did it once -- Ruth did it NINE times and before the live ball. Ruth hit 54 homers in 1920 -- more than any other team! http://www.nytimes.com/1991/03/24/sports/l-ruth-vs-aaron-beat-goes-on-215791.html
