Bannon didn't bother to go to work yesterday. He knew it was over.
At the end, Trump was beyond fed up, viewing Bannon as a self-aggrandizer who had built a personal narrative as the grand puppetmaster.
"Who the f**k does this guy think he is?" Trump has said incredulously to associates.
Axios' Jonathan Swan tells me it's no surprise Trump didn't issue a farewell message on Friday: The president can't stand Bannon at the moment. (Trump tweeted a belated "Thanks S" about Bannon on Saturday morning.)
But few people are ever really gone from Trumpworld, and we bet it won't be long before Bannon is regularly gossiping with Trump and counseling him.

Mike Allen...MORON. End of story.
There’s too many versions to determine which is the real reason for Bannon leaving.
More cheese on the trap for the MSM/NeverTrumpers. The trap closes on their necks, their brains go low on oxygen and incoherent stories like this are the result.
Must read tweet series, read all 25.

BANNON has been set free to do his job in another dimension.
Read the tweets linked in post 4.
The president has “associates?”
Good...Axios, or the better smelling version of CNN, is fake news...good of them to underestimate Trump again.

..
So Bannon wasn’t the leaker.
We dislike most the weaknesses that we ourselves share.
Both Trump and Bannon have made a number of mistakes in the WH. But it is horrific that Trump has sided with the liberal Democrats (led by Jivanka) and the coup-minded generals.
Trump will ultimately be responsible for his fall, and it is a shame that they weren’t together able to put into place what Trump campaigned on and Trump and Bannon believe in.
There may be some truth to that. Once you have been on the inside and have gained the respect or friendship of The Donald, he will always refer to you as needed.
See other former A-Team members Roger Stone, Lewandowski, Newt, Mooch, Guilliani and Manafort.
Well Donald, now that he’s gone maybe you’re going to,find out who the f^%# he was and is and why you made Pelosi and the democrats so happy
Reportedly. What happened to the "reportedly"?
Facts: Trump was Trump before Bannon. Trumpism was not a Bannon creation. Change happens.
Everything will be alright!
Hmm this come from such a reliable source it must be true! Hey Mike you’re full of crap
Bannon, and his associates became quickly outnumbered in the White House. When I kept reading that McMasters was removing Bannon supporters who believed in Trump’s vision, I knew the momentum had swung in the wrong direction, and was not yet done swinging.
Plus the fact that so many Govt. workers still loyal to Obama have been allowed to keep their positions with open intentions of blocking anything Trump wants to do. EPA is one of the few exceptions to that.
It has also been telling that the president has allowed the Atty. Gen. to stay in his position, despite Sessions appearing to be largely ineffectual and removed from the action.
Trump wasn’t suppose to even be the President and now some are contuously saying he is doomed..
Pretty darn good string..thanks!
While Bannon’s heart and mind may have been in the right place, there is no question his methods were hurting the Trump White house all along. He was constantly going to the press to stab the back of others in the White House. And this was red meat to CNN and the New York Times. True he kept his eye on the prize but leaking all the time was not the way to do his job. Clearly Bannon is someone who should run an organization or should not be in it at all. He is definitely not a team player.
I agree with you all except Sessions. The FBI doesn’t announce investigations publicly and I’m not sure there is more than Trump wanting to blame someone other than himself for the whole SC process.
But altogether, yes—the killer for me was when 6+ months in not only was Trump deluded about naming Kelly his CoS—but Bannon reportedly recommended him as well.
It seems both men get fooled by those who flatter and otherwise kiss up to them. A typical shortcoming of narcissists.
