With Steve Bannon Gone, Donald Trump Risks Becoming Arnold Schwarzenegger 2.0
Breitbart ^ | August 18, 2017 | Joel B. Pollak

Posted on 08/18/2017 11:49:48 AM PDT by be-baw

President Donald Trump’s decision to part ways with Steve Bannon can be understood as an effort to save his presidency after Charlottesville. It may turn out to be the beginning of the end for the Trump administration, the moment Donald Trump became Arnold Schwarzenegger.

...

Bannon was not just Trump’s master strategist, the man who turned a failing campaign around in August 2016 and led one of the most remarkable come-from-behind victories in political history. He was also the conservative spine of the administration. His infamous whiteboard in the West Wing listed the promises Trump had made to the voters, and he was determined to check as many of them off as possible. Steve Bannon personified the Trump agenda.

With Bannon gone, there is no guarantee that Trump will stick to the plan. That is why — too late, in retrospect — conservative leaders wrote to the president Friday to advise him that Bannon and campaign manager-turned-counselor Kellyanne Conway were too valuable to lose. Bannon had delivered for the movement, reportedly convincing President Trump to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accords, and to visit Israel on his first trip abroad.

Trump is certainly under attack from many sides.

Hopefully, the voters who elected Trump will stand by him and vote critics like Sen. Jeff Flake out of office.

Right now the leftist media is screaming for Trump’s head.

But how many people really listen to the leftist media?

More and more people on the center/right get their news from talk radio and internet sources.

How many bills has a Bannon lead White House gotten through Congress? How many hires turned out to be mistakes? It’s going to be hard to do worse than they’ve done under Bannon.

Brannon was no Karl Rove. He isn’t the reason Trump won

His interview and his wanting to raise taxes did him no good. Extraordinary bad missteps

“How many bills has a Bannon lead White House gotten through Congress?”

Not his job.

“How many hires turned out to be mistakes?”

Again, not his job.

Here’s my comment.

“The conscience of this administration is gone. I fear we are about to experience a Schwarzenegger redux on a national level. As soon as Arnold moved to Sacto he surrounded himself with lefties. God help us!”

That tax crap threw me for a loop. I do not recall one Trump rally where Bannon was present. Trump's kids were always part of his campaign.

If he’s supposed to be the strategist they most definitely ARE his job. Strategy has to include getting stuff through Congress and make the right hires.

The WINNERS: Prince Jared and Princess Ivanka.
Don’t be fooled. These were folks that prompted Bannon’s ouster.

I don’t give a crap one way or the other. Brannon is full of himself. He didn’t win the presidency Trump did. He pushed for Preibus. He is in it for Steve not for me the American. He can go back to his libertarian hell and complain all he wants. I don’t care

I want Trump to succeed. I will work on that

He’s an advisor. His job is to give advice. Trump either takes it or doesn’t. As we’ve seen, Trump is his own man and is leading the White house.

Now is the time that WE must stand in the gap. We need to pray like we really mean it. We need to primary all of the wusses
