President Donald Trump has offered his condolences to the family of the woman killed when a car slammed into a crowd of pedestrians on the Downtown Mall.
"Condolences to the family of the young woman killed today, and best regards to all of those injured, in Charlottesville, Virginia," he tweeted. "So sad!"
Charlottesville police Chief Al Thomas says a 32-year-old woman was killed when a car plowed into a crowd of counter-protesters on the Downtown Mall. The death is being investigated as a homicide, and the suspect is in custody, Thomas said.
The identity of the woman is being withheld until family can be notified.

Yep.
If she was out there attacking cars and throwing stuff then who cares about what happened to her.
Tired of these rioting thugs terrorizing people and we have to apologize for defending ourselves.
You may be right. I don't know anything about the woman who was killed.
If her death was the result of somebody defending himself from felonious assault, then she got what she deserved. But on the other hand she could have been just an airhead gawker out for a Starbucks checking out the commotion.
I feel sorry for her family. For all we know they are good people who lost an errant daughter. Some folks that were close to her are in pain tonight. Given the liberal demographics of Charlottesville (80% went for Hillary) she probably was a lib. But I'd rather deal with them according to Hoyle than run them down with automobiles.
You are correct, of course. HOWEVER, we all know that
not only was there never a possibility that Antifa
thugs would stay home, there is no doubt that they
strategized just what they were going to do. Conversely,
the white supremacist thugs likely expected Antifa
to be there and they prepared accordingly. The Antifa
punks have been active on the West Coast and they are
becoming more and more organized, more so than our
liberal MSM will ever admit.
I would wager that this whole affair will be found to
be a an intended showdown between crazy groups from
both the far left and right. Naturally the media will
only point the finger of blame in one direction.
And to think GOP politicians, except for Trump, are
too chickenshit to call it what it is.
“If she was out there attacking cars and throwing stuff then who cares about what happened to her.”
The people, the police, the prosecutor, the prison warden and the executioner care.
Amen. Second it.
WHAT?? A stolen Tag from an anti-Trump guy? Need more info....where did you see that?
Agree.
Cause? Outside money (Soros) fueled the escalation in the protests. Clearly, the response to the violent attack was organized. They acted prior to news releases of the facts. Prior knowledge.
The press painted all but the paid counter protestor with the same brush.
At this point we wait and try to determine the actual facts.
Yes, ancient indeed.
I believe this could have been a set up event. When things make no sense and it involves demoncrat and Soros groups, it is wise to never rule out foul play.
I don’t bother with the MSMLSD anymore. They’re there just for yucks. I just sit back and read (don’t even watch them on TV) online what they blabber about. We’ve not had real unbiased news since _____________???
Since?
Good question. I’ve not read a newspaper for news in almost forever. I was a letter to the editor type, even then.
We do not have a “free press”. The web can be, but is often covered with the noise of propaganda.
When it comes to cost and paying, liberal run the other way.
There was a time in my life when there were good regional newspapers. They actually employed people with brains who could write. They have now all been purchased and all that is left is the AP feed. (AP = Always Propaganda)
Yep. The thing is, it’s interesting how they, the MSMLSD don’t see it. I guess it’s because they’re living in a fishbowl and can’t see up. All they see is a reflection of themselves and they like how they look.
