eil deGrIf you had told this editor she would spend two days in a row writing about cows at Twitchy, she’d have laughed and asked you to stop eating paint chips … and yet here we are.

Day two covering cows, all because PETA decided it was SEXIST to eat cheese. Oh you didn’t see that one? Promise we’re not making that up, see for yourself.

And now THIS:

Neil deGrasse Tyson ✔@neiltyson

A cow is a biological machine invented by humans to turn grass into steak.

Whoohoo!

So does that mean we invented pigs too? Mmmm, bacon.

Chris McAllister @themanfronUNCLE

We knew that someday, someone would want to invent the NY Strip, prime rib and the hamburger

We should honestly invent a half cow, half pig creature to provide filets wrapped in bacon. RIGHT?!

Unfortunately too true—which makes his smugness especially off-putting.

They quite capable in the wild. They will defend defend themselves against an attack.

A donkey among the herd is even better. They kick a wolf or coyote until dead.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a biological machine invented by humans to turn coffee into urine.

Agree. I tried to watch his Cosmos, but he couldn’t hold a candle to the previous show. I think his smugness and entitlement attitude should be embarrassing to him, but he’s not bright enough to recognize those traits in himself.

The affirmative action for mediocrities is not confined to racial minorities.

Consider Bill Nye, the Politicized Science Guy.

We changed and bred them for certain traits ti increase what we could always get from the animal. We never “invented” any animal.

Cows do not good steaks make. Steers, that’s where the good stuff is. A milk cow is good for turning into burger, maybe, at best.

Neil deGrasse Tyson was on Family Feud, and the host Steve Harvey had a field day mocking him. I could NOT believe what I was watching! He riffed hilariously about the pronunciation of the seventh planet, all the while casting his glance and body language towards Tyson’s posterior.

Tyson stood there with that “deer in the headlights” look. It was HYSTERICAL.

This is why his all-too-self-regarding and condescending description of a cow as a human-designed steak-making machine is especially irritating. If you’re going to be a smug ass, then at least be accurate.

“Yep, Tyson is right”

That is like someone modifying a stock car to get some more horsepower and then claiming to have ‘invented cars’.

Pride goes before the fall...or intellectual smugness anyway.

I don't believe man invented the cow. If we had, someone would have a national holiday in their honor and there would be a 5th face in My. Rushmore. Go steak!

The responses are great.

I think this was meant as a joke, and not to be taken literally.

Of course. Someone who checked off every identity group box ever invented but held a differing opinion from the one the political animals expected would not ever be so promoted.

“A cow is a biological machine invented by humans to turn grass into steak. “

We should build a statue to the magnificent domesticated cow.

Yummy, Yummy, cows...hmmmmmmmm.

I had a ribeye once at the Yachtsman at Disneyworld. THAT cow definitely needed a statue. It was perfect!
