Wow! I guess I am stupid and so much more! I have three tats on my upper back. Each one was thought through carefully. I was 49 when I got the 1st one. It was not due to being drunk, or in love or low self-esteem etc. They do not show, unless I wish them to. I had no idea how judged I would be here.
In Austin, I've seen a laser tattoo removal clinic right next door to a tattoo parlor - side by side in the same strip mall.
Nobody’s appearance has ever been improved by a tattoo.
I was at the drive up window of a fast food place the other day.
The young lady taking my cash had a chain of tattoos on her left inside forearm. I started whistling The elephant walk, but see did not recognize the song or know why I was whistling it.
Her chain of tattoos? Three elephants from small to large, tail to trunk!
Oh brother....
Are there any other theoretical ways to remove tattoos besides costly laser? Seems to me there must be some chemical/enzyme process that could do it.
I am. I’m anti-tattoo.
Tattoos are yet another manifestation of the decadence and vulgarization of American culture.
So many anti-tat folks are like their skins....blank and featureless. While they may deem themselves somewhat “purer” than others, there is a lack of depth within and without. Not to mention the snooty bigotry inherent in their self proclaimed superiority.
She tried to remove it but it still shows. Angelina has dozens all over. Head to toe. Arms, hands, back, butt, legs, front areas, etc. Loonytoon. Hollyweird crazy lib.
“Sad to see otherwise attractive females with trashy tattoos.”
I absolutely detest them. I’m pretty old, so in my day, the only place to see a tattooed woman was in the circus, with her bearded companions.
“Trashy tattoo” as opposed to the classy ones?
Get use to it.
“...stuck with tattoo forever...”
It was often said by moms in olden days that, “It is a woman’s prerogative to change here mind.”
Back when I was a kid, one did not see tattoos on regular fellas. Oh the man spraying for bugs might have one from his Navy days but most service guys did not even have em. The cliche that it was a carnival worker thing was pretty much true.
The father berating his son for even thinking about Navy Flight school basic in AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN told Richard Gere’s character, “Officers don’t have tattoos.” Nowadays they often do.
When I was a Second Lieutenant, even the girls in sex films did not have tattoos but now the captain of the cheerleaders in prestigious high schools are likely to have them.
I think they are universally unattractive.

Well said.
When I see two-tone or three-tone hair, I think: "druggie"
When I see a pierced tongue, I think: "Oral sex"
When I see a tattoo, I think: "low self-esteem and mental disfunction"
"Permanent reminder
Of a temporary feeling..."

Sure, bring that home to meet mom and dad.
How about the paw print tats?
How do you know about this? Is there published r/s on it, or existing attempts? Fascinating.
Well said.
