It was not due to being drunk, or in love or low self-esteem etc. They do not show, unless I wish them to. I had no idea how judged I would be here.
Get use to it.
I do not drink or smoke or do drugs. I pay all of my bills. I love God and country and my family. But, having ink representing my journey makes me trash. I have pierced ears too. I must be really bad.
I got mine at 49, too..
Only a fool believes they won't be judged by others for what they do in this life regardless of what it is. Be prepared for it. Don't whine about it.
In this case, when you gets tats at 49 years old, you will have richly earned the judgement of those who were never so foolish to have done the same.

Don’t give it much thought. There’s quite a few freepers here who like to eat their own, it’s a clique righteous. They’re very smart. They’ll tell you so doncha know. Many have advanced degrees in curmudgeonly, some Doctors of Dogmatism. They never tire at any turn to spew their superiority.

Family upbringing is filled with enablers. Due to conformity peer pressure people do not speak honestly to others. Tatoos, drinking, STDs; honest feedback is rare.
A positive note is family enabling kills many early due to smoking & drinking. Better to be tatooed and still alive.
