With brutal MS-13 crimes sweeping Long Island and officials calling the scourge a public safety crisis, Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels, revealed a new plan he's developed, showing authorities how to "rein in MS-13."
After the gruesome discovery of four bodies in Central Islip on Long Island — the four young men are believed to have been victims of the deadly MS-13 street gang — the spotlight is on Suffolk County as lawmakers, educators and a horrified public try to shine a light on MS-13 and seek answers on how to stem the tide of escalating violence.
Sliwa, who founded the Guardian Angels, a non-profit volunteer safety patrol organization whose members are known for their trademark red berets, outlined MS-13's migration to Long Island in a previous Patch article.
And now, he's got a proposal on how to crack down on the deadly gang. Here's the first in an two part story on Patch, outlining Sliwa's plan.

He went from battling the mafia to battling Spongebob Squarepants.
His radio show is entertaining, and his history will also get my respect - but he’s just a guy now. I wouldn’t look for anything coming from him.
And there will be no more Guardian Angels. Could you imagine Bloomberg, Clinton, Christie and DeBlasio allowing that sort of thing ? Testosterone in that region of the country ?

On his radio shows he occasionally did a segment called “Mob Talk”, highlighting some of the mafia crime families history and current antics. He sure did like to push their buttons..
I remember him. He didn’t like guns. Was some kind of fat, old, limber ninja IIRC.
There was an episode of ‘Law and Order’ where they did a ‘characters are fictional and not based on any living person’ episode loosely based on Sliwa. It was pretty good, and pretty accurate.
Interesting ideas that Sliwa has.
(Whoever wrote the article, though, needs to learn how to proofread. Good grief!)
MS13 is worse than the jihadis. Anyone who belongs should be removed immediately.
