Jeremy Irons. He always does a good villain.
But for sheer creep Robin Williams in "one hour photo" is hard to beat.

You are a big western fan too? They remind me of what America was, men were men and women were women.

Has anyone named Jack Nicholson in "The Shining" yet?
Followed closely by Anthony Hopkins in "Silence Of The Lambs."

As for really vile villains... it is hard to get more vile than the young emperor Commodus? in “Gladiator.”
So vile they named a toilet after him...;-)

How about the bad guy sergeant in Platoon — the one with the scars on his face?
I remember watching Platoon as a kid with my dad. Afterwards he told me the bad sergeant was his favorite character. That puzzled me mightily at the time but of course I get where he was coming from now.

Cruella De Vil
Cruella, Cruella De Vil
If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will
Cruella, Cruella De Vil
To see her is to take a sudden chill
Cruella De Vil
This vampire bat, this inhuman beast
She ought to be locked up and never released
The world was such a wholesome place
Until Cruella, Cruella De Vil, yeah
Cruella, Cruella De Vil If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will Cruella, Cruella De Vil
To see her is to take a sudden chill
Cruella De Vil
At first you think Cruella is a devil
But after time has worn away the shock
You come to realize, you've seen her kind of eyes
Watching you from underneath a rock
Cruella, Cruella De Vil
If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will
Cruella, Cruella De Vil
To see her is to take a sudden chill
Cruella, Cruella De Vil
If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will
Cruella, Cruella De Vil
To see her is to take a sudden chill
Cruella De Vil
Cruella De Vil, yeah
Cruella De Vil
Look out for Cruella De Vil

Thanks for correcting this thread’s huge gaping oversight.
Nicholson’s eyebrows alone contained more concentrated evil than legions of second tier bad guys.

It takes the perspective that age brings to appreciate a really good villain, I think. When you’re young it’s as if you can’t separate the nastiness of the character sufficiently to appreciate just what a masterful performance it is. These are not movie villains, but they’re excellent and both from Game Of Thrones: Tywin Lannister and his daughter Queen Cersei are both excellent villains.

Have to agree with you, my first thought was Heath as the Joker - amazingly believable performance.
