Alan Rickman made a fortune portraying villains in innumerable movies. He was on many director’s speed dial under “villian”. The same can be said for Anthony Hopkins and Ralph Fiennes.

Another excellent villain was Gary Oldman in “Air Force One” .

On the lighter side, Margaret Whitton as Rachel Phelps in Major League.

I agree with your pick. That character goes deep and, imo, serves as the perfect example of the reality of the leftard. From the name: McQuarrie settled on Söze after finding it in a Turkish dictionary; it comes from the idiom "söze boğmak", which means "to talk unnecessarily too much and cause confusion" (literally: to drown in words) To the pathetic Verbal Kint being the mask for the sociopathic killer, Keyzer. Kint, pretending to be gimped and helpful all while running the murderous con.

I don’t know about “favorite” but the only movie villain who ever genuinely creeped me out was the guy with the captive bolt stun gun in “No Country for Old Men.”

Agreed. I think Andrew Robinson may have killed his career by doing such a good job in that role. My buddy and I always joke that the Pope would have shot him by the end of the movie.

After the American Revolution, General Simcoe became Lieutenant Governor of Canada, founded the city which became Toronto, and abolished slavery in Canada decades before it was abolished in the remainder of the British Empire.
