President Donald Trump has failed at getting the proper message out during his time as a politician and is "sabotaging his own agenda," political analyst Karl Rove wrote in an opinion piece.
Rove, who worked in the White House under former President George W. Bush, argued in The Wall Street Journal that Trump's Twitter habit is causing a lot of problems for him.
"Mr. Trump has figured out how to tweet his way around the mainstream media," Rove wrote. "Yet by disregarding basic fact checking, he is deepening the already considerable doubts Americans have about his competence and trustworthiness."

In your dreams “Porky Pig”
We learned long ago that competence, in Paul Ryan & Rove’s RINO world, is not all what it’s cracked up to be. We see who runs the White House, and it’s Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Obama, George Bush 41 & 43.
I could trust a phone book occupant as much, or any smart Freeper.
Competence has a new name that’s quite proven. Donald J. Trump.
Because he can do the job, the trough piglets in the Hill want him gone, to return to pay for play the Soros way.
STFU KARL !
Swallow up Karl Rove
Yes, unfortunately. Quite a lot.
What worked during the campaign for short term gains, doesn’t always work during the actual term of service, when the stakes are by necessity exponentially higher.
Pres. Trump seemed to enjoy most of those rallies. Maybe he could do more of them, say two or three a month. So long as he stayed on policy, he’ll be fine. He knows everything uttered is going to be fact checked, but I still think the President would like being face to face with his supporters, and away from the confines of the White House a little more often.
Not in many, many years.
My new Tag line...
Between you and me I wish he’d tweet less.
An extremely good analysis and one I agree with. The fact that they thought DJT was a joke allowed him to sneak in a win right under their upturned noses.
Lolol. What did everyone use to call him before his disastrous loss in 2006 and he has been wrong about everything since?
If Rove’s friends and family really care about him, they should intervene and prevent him from write these articles. He’s his own worst enemy.
I’m sure the temptation to express his views in an article is overwhelming at times. Perhaps his ego is inflated because he is credited for masterminding GWB’s razor thin election victories.
Friends don’t let friends publish junk political analysis.
“Pod?”
Pod = pox, lol. Typo. Although I rather like “pod” too.
Trump wasn’t my first choice or even one of my top ones because I didn’t think he could win. Yet when he did I got behind him and have been so happy with him ever since. My view of many of his opponents, some of whom I preferred at the time, has diminished so much because they’d rather lose and cozy to dems than support him. Especially infuriating is that they demanded he agree to a loyalty pledge when they thought it would advantage them but reneged when it didn’t!
I hear you! My first thought. . .oh no, he's back on the stage again trying to be relevant.
Rove is irrelevant.
If Rove wanted to help, he would tell Trump his observations and recommendations privately. <<<
BINGO!......(Trumps enemies are getting easier and easier to spot....)
Take your stupid white board, stick it up ur azz and go away!
>Rove, who worked in the White House under former President George W. Bush<
Let’s see...Rove was a part of the same crew that gave us ‘religion of peace’ and ‘jobs Americans won’t do’?
Go suck a ..., Karl.
Yet he has accomplished more in the first 4 mos than the last 4 Presidents.
