It seems the flag was flown at half staff all the time under Obama for every time some jihadist or lunatic massacred a bunch of people.
You know one day the flags across the country will be ordered at half staff for John McCain or Pelosi as if there were great people.
In your opinion, at what instances should the American flag be lowered?

It should be lowered when someone has died who has done good for this country or a nation tragedy happens like 911. But of course it’s not lowered for those reasons. For example the fat tub of pig vomit Christ Christie had the flags lowered in New Jersey when professional crack head Whitney Houston met the end result of being a crack head.
Memorial Day from Sunrise until Noon and then back to full staff until sunset.

Obama flew the flag at half staff for the loss of the jihadi. Not the Amerifans. And he flew half staff when a crackhead died.
A long time ago the flag was only lowered when a president or ex-president died. Maybe that was about the right frequency, but is even that necessary?
You could solve this issue with legislation delimiting the occasions when the flag is lowered. Or the president could just say, "We're not going to lower the flag any more for any reason."

Thanks for the link. I’m just happy, as a Veteran, to be able to salute the flag while standing for the National Anthem. What a beautiful flag and a wonderful (but difficult to sing) song to honor it and the Patriots who died protecting our liberty.

It's Peace Officers' Memorial Day.
Well...since I maintain my own 42 foot pole, with lights and all the proper lanyards, etc...I will decide what, when and how.
I fly half-staff on MY decision and if I don't like the whoever that died, I don't change it.
Currently, I observe Memorial Day, Veterans Day and the death anniversaries of some of my good friends, with whom I served and have since passed on.
I will NOT observe McCain's death, sure as HELL not Pelosi...and I'll make a at-the-time decision for past presidents, etc.
But I can also assure you, it will NOT be half-staff for Carter or Clinton...and I'll burn my damned house and flag-staff down before I'll fly half-staff for that piece of shit obama.
