Critics of Republican U.S. Rep. Dave Brat and the House health care bill he voted for packed a raucous town hall meeting in his Virginia district Tuesday night, booing and shouting down the congressman from start to finish.
Brat is the latest in a series of lawmakers across the country who have gotten an earful from constituents at town hall meetings since last weeks passage of the House health care bill that would repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. [ ]
A former economics professor who defeated then-House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in a historic 2014 upset, Brat briefly discussed the health care bill before seguing into dozens of audience questions. Most of them were about the measure.
Critics shouted him down as he talked, sometimes to the point where his answers became indistinguishable or got cut off. Audience members also turned to yell at one another.

You mean the Soros rent-a-mob showed up again. Believe me, they have nothing better to do.
I hope they videotaped the agitators. Would be interesting to make their identities public. Expose them for what they are - paid Democrat thugs.
Look for the buses.
Why not have to show your ID proving that you are a resident of the district to get in to the hall.
You don’t need proof ID to vote how can they get this?
They should be forced to present a voter id card to confirm they live in the district. At the very least, present a driver’s license...which in itself should make their liberal heads explode.
Only broke jokes who hardly work would hate to see Obamacare go.
A driver’s license would show your address a be a reasonable show of proof that you live in his district. I would be unnecessary to show that you are a voter to exclude outside agitators.
Town hall meetings are not working if you are a patriot. They’re not even working for many who are not. Representatives know this and do not address it and the purpose of the damn thing is therefore wholly defeated.
What is wrong with a remote screen that at least guarantees the safety of the rep, or even having an invitation only affair, arranged by a county party chairman, who knows the constituents who vote, participate in the party and appreciate the chance to Q&A with their representative.
These Leftist noise makers are not identified and it is unknown if they fit that description in any way, shape or form. Enough!
Simple solution to this: Send a letter to constituents telling them about town hall. Tell them their name will be checked with a list of current legal residents at the door, if your name is not on the list, and you can’t prove residence, you can’t come in.

Brat is an upcoming star in the Conservative movement and was put there to REPEAL Obamacare and not put in some washed down version that only repealed 10% of it. After the voters turned out for him to remove Cantor they may feel they have been shorted and the back and back shouting is only because that the HA is such a dynamite issue with a very short fuse.
So if someone can explain why we can cast out that these are just upset Republican voters instead of hired thugs it would be most appreciated.
Have the speakers use overhead projection that makes their points despite the crowd noise
FAKE constituents...just roll on and ignore.
You don’t know if they’re his constituents or not. Since manners and responsible criticism are gone, the very idea of town halls seems futile. And what good is it to have a townhall of only people who have passed a purity test?

Our reps have tele-townhall meetings.
You get a call from them announcing the meeting and if you want to participate, you listen in and can enter something on your phone to get in line to ask a question and he addresses them one at a time, and very kindly, but firmly, limits the time they can take.
And if they get argumentative, he kindly but firmly, ends the call.
This is a good idea.
