Republican leaders and President Donald Trump celebrated a legislative victory Thursday as the House passed the American Health Care Act, which, if it clears the Senate and is signed into law, will repeal former President Obamas signature achievement, 2010s Affordable Care Act.
But the reaction was substantially different in Hollywood, as celebrities took to social media Thursday afternoon to voice their displeasure with the new bill and to urge fellow liberals to donate to Democratic politicians ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.
Politically outspoken celebrities including Katy Perry, Amy Schumer, John Legend, George Takei, and Mark Ruffalo all tweeted about the bill, while TV personality Andy Richter called House Republicans soulless pimps and comedian Patton Oswalt vowed to make the 2018 midterm election a dawn-to-dusk nightmare for the GOP.
The American people are coming for all of you, tweeted Beauty and the Beast star Josh Gad.

To whoever signed the cunning stunts, deny them every red cent.
Whether it’s Hollywood or the MSM, the responsible party is often Disney, Comcast, Time Warner...
So my FRiend, ask yourself: “Will I deny Disney, Comcast, Time Warner my subscriptions dollars?”. Safe bet the answer is “No.”
If every conservative family withheld their $ from the aforementioned, things would change. But most prefer to bitch while patronizing the Leftwing corps that piss in their shoes.
I know I would lie awake at night, terrified, if Patton Oswalt threatened me.
MST3K reboot is unwatchable because that asshole is in it. All he did was exactly copy the role of the original guy. Worthless runt.
Since I don't know, I have to ask...
Is a Patton Oswalt more disgusting than a flock of cockroaches?
I have no idea who half the Hollywood entertainers who tweeted against the new healthcare bill are, nor do I care. I haven’t watched 99% of the new TV/Cable shows and don’t plan to. Too many good books to catch up on.
Sorry to see Ron Perlman is in this group. Liked him in Hellboy. Feel really bad about George Takei going off the deep end. Always found him to be a nice person to talk to.
As for the rest, piffle and pouting won’t get you a damned thing.
I would watch a flock of cockroaches.
Mark Ruffelo is highly overrated.
Believe me. A flock of cockroaches are smarter than many Hollywood actors/actresses, etc.
CR’s have been around for tens of millions of years, possibly even longer. These leftist human roaches won’t last more than, say, 70 years on average, and will be long forgotten in the future.
Ever seen a roach circle at night in a house? Looks like a secret Democrat Party planning session that flees when you turn the lights on.
"Today we took a poopy and put a gold star on it. we did a win! peeple will die but we keppt promise pleeze vote 4 us." 3:27 PM - 4 May 2017
WHAT the hell?? He actually tweeted that!
I was a fan of Josh Groban once. Not anymore. These people are vile and insane.
I swear Andy Richter was drunk-tweeting. Just wow.
Good list. However, it still has to get through the Senate, so I don’t see why they are getting so upset at this point.
Well at least they aren’t rioting
That’s about the best thing you can say about liberals these days (except, of course, when they are rioting)
“I wish everybody would just stay the Hell away from Hollywood this summer so all their films can crash and burn. “
Do it !
Get out and do something instead if sitting and watching hollywoods tv and movie garbage.
I haven’t seen a movie in the cinema since the 90’s and I haven’t missed anything. TV went about ten years ago.
That is disgusting. He was a really good kid as a classmate of my daughter at the L.A. County High School for the Arts. Apparently, the entertainment dark side has taken over him.
Not a one of them suffering from this nightmare. Who do they think they’re advocating for?
Yet, our never Trumpsters are whining, crying and saying all is lost.
I did not see any of “our ‘never Trumpsters’ whining, crying and saying all is lost...”
Why make an issue where there is none?
They are just sore losers because Trump had a win today!
You’re absolutely right! I don’t understand why it hasn’t been pointed out more often. Obamacare may have covered 20 million new people, but the vast majority are receiving heavy subsidies. The rest of us? We are picking up the tab. In a sane world, taking money from other people is regarded as theft. Note that every stinking one of these Hollywood libs is free to donate their rich paychecks to form private, charitable hospitals.
Why are responsible, hard working Americans who are struggling to take care of their families saddled with the responsibility to take care of the irresponsible and poor (who are very often poor due to their own poor decisions)? I’m sure it’s a great deal if you’re someone who always has their hands in other people’s pockets, but where in the heck does individual responsibility come into this?
Obamacare is socialism.
One way of keeping in touch with thier fan base, another way of staying in the lime light and being relavant
John Legend, George Takei, Mark Ruffalo, Andy Richter and Josh Groban???
Who in the HELL are these people?
I guess my removal of cable in my home is working very, very, very well. :)
Katy Perry, $125 Million; Amy Schumer net worth $16 Million; John Legend $40 Million; George Takei $12 Million, and Mark Ruffalo $20 Million; Cher $305 Million
