Apparently, even kids arent safe from the wrath of airline agents.
A 12-year-old boy waiting to board a Delta flight from La Guardia Airport to Florida with his family had the cell phone smacked out of his hands by an airline employee who didnt want him filming her excuses to weary passengers after a 17-hour delay, according to a suit filed in Rockland County.
She just came over and hit me, the Suffern High School honor roll student told The Post Tuesday.
My phone went flying, Boggan said. I was in shock.
The Delta agent also yelled that it was illegal for him the film the scene, the suit says.

The world changed on 9-11. Airlines and corporations and over paid CEOs got their own red phones to the White House making them much more powerful than just businesses. They became partners to good and bad. Customers on airlines became not only lackeys to their demands, but lackeys to their crony capitalism and bailouts that we all got to pay for.
You don’t want to hear my rant about United Airlines etc and how they screwed their customers on 9-11, while we taxpayers all made them financially whole.
If you forgot your /s tag. I apologize.
If you’re serious you can go.....well you know.

“Better Fly Delta, Or We’ll Belt Ya!”
>>Why the heck the agent wasnt charged, especially given the age of the victim, is beyond me.
Look for the union label...
Watch the video closely. It did not fly out of his hand. The phone was still filming his feet from quite a distance up after the employees hand moved towards it, then fingers could be observed holding it.
The airline employee did move her hand towards the camera. Straight for it as to block it. There was no swatting motion shown, which would have shown the person moving her arm from one side to the other, making contact with the phone, with the phone flying in the direction of the moving hand.
This is BS.
I hope the airline fights this and wins, maybe even counter sue.
gonna be crowded on the highways this summer
I don't need another reason to fly again after my last experience on a return flight, on a one day business trip, from Baltimore to Islip NY on Government business. I had my boarding pass and ID checked at least 7 times (while wearing my Government ID) from the time I got in line to go through security till after I picked up my shoes after going through the metal detector. Total distance from start to finish as the crow flies was maybe 30-40 feet.
This was in 2003, I haven't flown on a commercial flight since then. I can't imagine how bad it is now, if I can't drive there in 10-12 hours I won't go.
Theyre going to SUE? Give me a break.
I hope Delta countersues.
Why?
17-Hour delay?!?!
Agreed! I am SO glad my jet-setting days are OVER!
physical assault is not usually the first step in gaining compliance.
Especially against a person who was CLEARLY a minor at age 12 (and from pic. seems like a young age 12 BTW).
I was about to post something like this if no one else did. The last part of the video shows feet, which means it was facing downward. If it had been knocked out of his hand, it would be showing nothing (the floor) or upward. Looks like what she did was swat it from a filming position on her to filming the floor.
Still, no cause for it. It’s still assault. It’s still violent.
Special snowflake family thinks they are the only ones in the world
What jerks. The very customers I hate dealingvwith
Do you work for airlines (you state these are the very customers you hate dealing with)?
Last time I flew the people waiting for the flight before mine at my gate had been waiting forever. They were lying around all over the place, clearly annoyed, mothers with children having a rough time of it.
A flight attendant sat next to me at the gate and told nosy me that the reason was a delay in a flight that was bringing two flight attendants to JFK for that flight. She said she had offered to work in their place but it didn’t happen, maybe because they needed two, not one, or because the other two were already in transit and had been promised the flight. She could have used the extra money, said she was “living the dream.”
The delays tend to pile up on one another for this reason, so it is better to fly earlier in the day if you can, says a seasoned traveler I know.
The delta employee should’ve broke out in dance. The video would’ve went viral and she/he gets internet fame. And everyone laughs and has a good time.
Please put me on the no-fly list. Flying sardine cans aren’t made for those like me who are 5’18”.
People need to start beating the living snot out of airline employees who dare to even TOUCH a passenger. It’s bad enough people have to endure the TSA groping. What they need are a few riots on airplanes, to teach these psychos to keep their hands off the passengers.

Very interesting post...Good to know abut the earlier flights!
Then quit your job, and let someone who knows how to handle the public take your place.
I’ve worked in retail, and always managed to calm down irate customers. It’s a simple matter of putting yourself in their shoes and treating them with respect.
If you can’t do that, go get a job digging ditches.
Hey, no pausing to wait for the other side of the story!
