Police should release a statement saying that it seems we are no longer welcome there, so they won’t be patrolling that area any more.
I am sure the adjacent businesses will have some “words” with the owner of that joint....
If the adjacent businesses have the same opinion, i am sure crime will certainly spike in that area and the matter will eventually rectify itself...

I believe an earlier story said the manager that instigated it was actually the Franchisee's business partner. The correct response from the Franchiser should be that the offensive partner be removed or lose the franchise, which could very well be the result of a customer boycott anyway.
