FULL TITLE: It's political correctness gone Psycho! Remake won't show the killer cross-dressing in a shower scene in order to avoid 'transphobia'
It is the chilling moment from the classic film Psycho that once seen can never be forgotten.
Deranged motel proprietor Norman Bates, dressed up in his mothers clothes, launches a murderous knife attack on a defenceless guest in the shower.
But now the scene from the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock thriller starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh has been remade, but with a crucial difference.
Bates is no longer wearing womens clothes for fear of damaging the image of the transgender community.
This is despite the fact he wears his mothers dresses at other moments in the series.
It is the climatic episode in the fifth and final season of US television series Bates Motel starring British actor Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates and singing superstar Rihanna as his intended victim, Marion Crane.
LOL, I should have put some tag on mine, I think you missed my joke...:)
I thought the ‘armature wirer’ would have been an obvious tipoff, but I can see it wasn’t!
I was trying to be humorous, but it was obscure! My apologies...:)
Stupid. The premise of the movie is a split personality, with evil mother doing the killing. If that’s too confusing for the PC crowd, that’s their problem.
in the fifth and final season..?
They really stretched that movie out. I guess this is no Leave it to Beaver show. If so then the Beav kills his mom and everyone else.
How long will it be before Hollyweird gets desperate enough to make a PC remake of Animal House.
After all they have to make up for this violation of PC law: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110759/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_73
why call it Psycho then?
“They are overwhelmingly minority and fembot and queer
The publishing side is the white side....often Jewish but white nonetheless”
And most of the engineering group are conservative in all of these stations.
"Silence of the Lambs" is what triggered the Homosexual oversight committee for all movie and television scripts. The queer community was outraged by the portrayal of an obviously psychotic homosexual as a woman murdering serial killer, and they screamed bloody murder at the Hollywood studios. The studios agreed to the creation of a homosexual review board for pending scripts.
This committee went from simply censoring scripts to demanding scripts which portrayed homosexuals in a favorable light. This is how we ended up with programs like "Will and Grace", "Glee" and "Modern Family" all with their very pro-homosexual storylines.
"Silence of the Lambs" is what triggered the current wave of queer propaganda in movies and television.

Small potatos. Blazing Saddles, hell the TV version of that is unwatchable. Even the “bean” scene got butchered. Caddyshack is another one. They cut so much out of that they had to fill in with outtakes.
Talking of Klinger and MASH, makes me wonder about All In The Family. I have not seen that show rerun in years. I wonder if it’s being rerun anywhere. I’m sure in today’s politically correct world, that a show with an Archie Bunker character would not be permitted today.
I’m surprised they did not bring back the Norman Bates from the book. A very fat man dressed in women’s clothes.
Or would that be a slap at fat people.
The motel was somewhere between Tulsa, Joplin and St Louis, on Route 66.
That was also one of the best movies of all time.
I have never seen a more perfectly paced thriller.
And the acting between Hopkins and Foster is absolutely stunning.
“It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.”
One of the best lines ever!
It’s a good thing that Hitch wasn’t PC.
Of course, in a saner age, that was easy.
It’s doubtful that Silence of the Lambs could even be made these days, at least not with a cross-dressing Buffalo Bill.
Try these folks.

Them and Baen books - the exact opposite of ‘PC.”
I didn’t care about the cross-dressing in the slasher scene.
What was scary to me was the idea of someone coming at you in the shower without being able to see them coming.
I’ve never bought a shower curtain or a shower dooe that wasn’t transparent since then.
I bet this has you really spun up ...
The movie didn’t show it either, he was in shadows and according to some “tell alls” it wasn’t actually Perkins. It’s a great show, and they’ve well establishing how Norman “checks out” and becomes Norma for these things, showing him dressed in drag would accomplish nothing. And anyway, Vera is the best damn actor on that show, they should let he do the scene they’ve been building to for 5 years.
Is Norman still a taxidermist on the side ??????????/
Maybe trans-people believe they’re someone of the only other gender. That’s why they prefer to be called “They.”
