My dad was an officer in the Special Forces back in the 60s and 70s. He and my mom managed to take pretty good care of me and my six siblings without having to resort to moonlighting.
I’m sorry to hear about this family’s predicament, but maybe they could have been more frugal, like my parents were.

Wow. I’m pretty sure I knew this guy back when I was stationed in Norfolk in the late 90’s. He wasn’t a SEAL then but was prepping for the training program.
