If you are a man having trouble getting a date, you may just not earn enough money. A new report reveals that a significant portion of American women refuse to date men who earn less than they do.

How is this even possible. They all earn 70% what men earn. /s
I disagree. Women are looking for the guy they dream would commit to them. Women are more likely to stay home than go out with a guy who does not meet their standards. Men want the best woman they can get, but would rather go out with a less-attractive girl than stay home. Women are looking for "Mr Right", while men are more likely to settle for "Miss Good Enough for Tonight", at least until somebody better comes along.
Also, you need to distinguish between "date" and "marry". Men would be willing to date a girl if they think they will get sex, even if they would not think of marrying her, or even live with her.
I did not talk finances with my husband to be until we were engaged.
He did not ask me, I did not ask him.
Turned out, I made more than he did.
Now we both make much less. :)
With divorce statistics the way they are, any man who would be willing to get married in the feminized legal system that exists today, is not good marriage material... he is too stupid and/or risk-taking to be worth marrying.
In other news, water is wet and A=A.
In programming A = A + 1;
What they do is get fancy degrees cause girls study good and then work 5- 10 years
They meet a guy and get baby urges and get knocked up maybe 1-3 times and quit working say around 30-35 and become stay at home moms with graduate degrees and Louis bags who do barré or yoga or Pilates
It’s a waste of subsidized education and the heavy quota system takes away slots from men who have no such options
I am living smack dab in the middle of this
I notice another more urban trend where hipsters both work and no kids and buy nice urban digs
Nashville is overrun with this
How many drop that lifestyle and reproduce is hard to ascertain
Given how femme hipsters guys are I’m not sure they got that much marmalade
Those who doubt me just google how much average feline MD works in contrast to males
Really
You want your woman to compete with you
Man I don’t know where to start
You must be young or unmarried
You, my friend are totally wrong.
Happily married for 28+ years.
Not me buddy
Every nstance V e seen which you described creates a rub that won’t go away
And creates huge issues
Given where I live we see plenty where the woman works and guy is creative music guy who doesn’t have success
She gets tired of coming home to him on the couch
And eventually meets someone at the place where she works to pay his bills
No way I’d have anyone but an heiress support me
And I did have an heiress so a world famous beverage company as a lover for 3 years
And still I paid the bills....she had 40’million trust I had maybe one million on a good day
I paid for almost everything but we did use her family homes all over the world for travel in London and New York and Blue Mountains etc
I mean damn you gotta be a frigging man
White men today
God help us
How did normans and saxons and Teutonic Knights and Vikings and roman legionnaires and Spanish explorers etc become such veritable pussies
I sure don’t want to compete with my wife but enjoy
Boo hoo.
It’s always a bit of fun to see who can load the dishwasher the quickest, and she is a better shot than I am.
There have been times when she made more money than I, too.
Really, a good relationship is two halves of a whole, but I compete with myself pretty hard, too- did I lift more today than a year ago? Did I do 10K more quickly at 55 than I did at 50?
I’d LOVE to find a great woman who makes more than me!
As an amusing point, Tom Brady is perhaps the greatest football player ever. He is ... well compensated.
And I believe his wife makes more than he does.
Tom’s got it all!
>And I believe his wife makes more than he does.
I rather doubt that. Tom earns most of his money from ad work, not football.
>Thats alright, I am sure there are many men who refuse to date women who make more than they do.
Generally speaking it’s a bad idea to do so. The likelihood of relationship failure is very high. It’s like dating a women that’s taller than you. It intrinsically reduces your sexual appeal to her so unless you can compensate in another area it’s not worth the effort.
>If the single purpose of dating is to find a husband, I cant disagree but that seems to be narrow-minded. If the only reason a woman dates is to find a husband then women shouldnt be upset if the only reason a man dates is to find a sex partner. Both are singularly after the thing they want most.
>No wonder marriages often fail then since both are in it only for themselves.
Women dating for marriage are in the vast minority now. Most dating, well if you can call hooking up dating is just for sex. It’s generally men who are more interested in marriage than women.
The vast majority of the women that I've seen have nasty attitudes, thanks to the "empowerment" that the government has lavished upon them, such as preference in promotions.
The agency I work at is dominated by women, by a 3 to 2 margin, and five of the six supervisors in my office are women. They "supervise" by staying in their offices their entire day, spending their time keeping track of how often you break wind in the office. Then you get written up for not going to them if you have a question.
How under-educated are these twits? The background picture on my computer is a photo from the gate at Dachau, with the sign that reads "Arbeit Macht Frei", or "Work Shall Set You Free."
It’s true the ad work may put Tom over the top. I was merely talking salary — in 2013-14 Gisele earned $47M and Tom earned $31.3M.
I suppose Tom’s ad work helped him make up the $16M wage difference and perhaps he did surpass her.
