Both the Euro and GFS are showing stonger storms in closer to the coast, so this could well become reality.
I have no problem with Mexicans in Mexico. Or Mexican heritage Americans here. But I’d take blizzards over illegals any day too. Earthquakes are not bad because 99% of the time they are not happening. Lol. And if you aren’t in the brushy hills, the fires won’t get you either.
It’s nice to “hear” it in your “voice” around here! Cheers!!
But it doesn’t make any sense, period.
Unless you are in hinterlands in locales where the weather is TRULY severe, and left stranded for a week or so, there really is no need to panic.
Unless you absolutely do not keep anything in the fridge or cabinets.
If a storm strikes me suddenly (yes, I am not always aware of the forecast), our house is fine. We have enough “provisions” on a normal day to make it through at least several days as it is. Even the record blizzards don’t leave us in the lurch for more than 2 days.
I find this normal “provisioning” was more important for rampant sickness than for any storms. Nothing around here warrants the nuttiness people go into.
I’m so hoping the models are wrong and the 20+ area ends up over Western and Central Maryland.
Yes, but I didn’t really call it winter, just a gray, miserable day.
I’m in that 1-3” zone
My son graduated from Auburn two weeks after that storm and snow was still along the banks and shady places on our way up there.
What I meant is we are feeling the effects way down here as well. What is cold to us is not to you northerners. 8>)
I may be north of you but I could never be a northerner. I’m a 7th generation Floridian.....never lived anywhere else.

Which elicited my response. To my knowledge I posted nothing to you before (in this thread) to evoke that response from you. Looking back I see that my one, & as far as I remember, only response in that thread was not to you to you to begin with. Thus I assumed, wrongly so, that the person I had responded to was responding back.
But no, you are most definitely not a northerner, even to me.
State of emergency declared in New York as major snowstorm approaches
