Dogs aren't as honest and obedient as they might like to have us think.
We think we're in control but new research shows that dogs can be very deceptive - especially when it involves them getting an extra sausage.
Scientists found that dogs can be sneaky and manipulative in order to get what they want from humans.

Anyone who owns a German Shorthair Pointer already knows this!
My sister takes her little Dog to Obedience School once a week, for months now , LOL now I know who’s really getting trained
> I blame dogs learning bad behavior from cats. <
LOL. I was going to post something along those lines, but you beat me to it.
They are nearly as cunning as democrats.
I thought the story was about how much taxpayer money was wasted to “learn” this!
Nah, if that were true dogs would stand there and obnoxiously meow until they got what they wanted
Cocker Spaniels as well. Mine will run into the family room and hide her treat, then come back to me acting as if I never gave her one in the first place. Sneaky little sprites, they are!
Mine gets a biscuit whenever he goes out and goes to the bathroom (the bathroom part being the key thing here). But lately he steps outside, turns right around and comes back in, and runs to the cabinet and barks for a cookie.
I think my dog is a democrat. Wants something for nothing.
My dog now wolfs down the goose poop she finds if i'm not watching. I used to be able to yell at her and get her to drop it. Now it's gone in an instant. No way to get her to not eat it except eternal vigilance and a short leash on grass where the geese hang out.
I had a 15 pound wirehair mutt. Once, the 5 yr old left a peanut butter sandwich on the chair in the kitchen. I was outside raking leaves and the door was open. The dog went to the front door and around to the kitchen door then the inside hall doorway and looked at the sandwich from all angles. She also looked all about her at each vantage point. When the boy went into the bathroom and closed the door she ran through the front door to the kitchen, snatched the sandwich, and exited through the kitchen door and took the sandwich out behind the shed to consume it at leisure.
Too many people have decided to have a dog than a baby. Self Centered? lol
My dog thinks now thinks she deserves a treat when I come back into the house and she wasn’t part of the trip outside.
The Russians?
lol
Mine throws poochie eyes and a pout to get pet and some treats, but just try and disturb his sun bathing, I dare you.

This actually a country song about that.

My GSP will be 14 this year. She’s a crafty old gal. :) Her prime weapon is an insidious near-ultrasonic LASER like device that she can annoyingly shoot directly at your ears.
She knows that nobody likes a whiner, and she wields the weapon sparingly... but nonetheless she does wield it when her evening cookie is running late.
Cooler Spaniels are the worst.
Lil punkz...
Come here pig!!!
I think my dog is a democrat. Wants something for nothing.
= = =
And, as you have described the situation, is still full of crap.
