President Donald Trump should give his staff a heads up when he plans to make controversial tweets like he did on Saturday morning, alleging that former President Barack Obama ordered Trump Tower wiretapped during the election, conservative commentator Michael Reagan tells Newsmax TV.
Besides leaving his staff scrambling at unexpected controversies, Trump also killed the positive coverage he had been getting all week for his generally well-received joint address to Congress, Reagan said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."
"If I was a member of his staff right now, I'd be breaking his thumbs," Reagan said. "That's what I would be doing to stop him from tweeting behind their backs with things that are, in fact, going to change the narrative of what's going on."
Reagan called Trump's tweets "absolutely stupid politically," adding that "I'm sure his staff is trying to figure out what in the world do we do to stop him from using those thumbs at 6 a.m."

What an imbecile. The speech was off the radar due to the Sessions hysteria. And then Trump flipped the tea table with a single tweet. So, FUMR.
First, that is what Trump is trying to do is to change the narrative from that of Washington Post and the deep state to the narrative of what is going on and how the deep state is undermining the country and violating the civil liberties of its citizens.
Second, none of us give a $4it about the so-called "narrative." We want someone to tell the truth about what is going on. Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts.

Tweeting is actually a brilliant tactic. The character limitation keeps it short but with a punch. The media then ties itself into the predictable knots. When the time is right, President Trump then sends out the big guns and the media looks stupid. The media has already got itself into the situation of did the media lie before or are they lying now. I love it.
