I just listened to a few minutes of Glenn Beck, and he predicted that 2018 the Democrats will have the biggest landslide ever because we can see from the number all of the angry democrats appearing at townhall meetings that they are clearly imitating what the Tea Party did in 2010. Your thoughts?

The Democratic Party has been reduced to the party of New York City, Chicago, Minneapolis, Austin, TX, Los Angeles, and the tech corridors of the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle-Tacoma metro area. That’s not going to win national elections.
Whatever disease took David Brock clearly has struck Beck.

The reason the Democrats you see at these events seem so powerful is that the party is losing what few “reasonable” people it had left. This leaves their core - the loony left - to call all the shots, exposing who they really are for all the world to see.
The right laughs, the middle shakes their heads and the sane democrats try to sneak away on a moonless night.
i.e. they will be obliterated in 2018.

Anyone, who believes anything this lying clown says, is crazier and sicker than Beck.
Well, to reclaim the Senate they would need the largest landslide in history. They need to beat the Republicans 28-5 in 33 senate elections (counting Maine and Vermont as Democrat seats). Worst ever was 1932, when they won 27-5.
Right now, the WSJ/Politico/NBC poll has them at 30% approval, down from 35% at the inauguration, and 3 points below their lowest previous approval ever. That poll doesn’t go back too far, but since their current position is the worst since the 1920s, I doubt they were EVER lower in the past century.
I’d say the Republicans gain 6 to 12 seats; 6 if they are at mere parity and 12 if they roll. Either way, I’d rather that the Republicans wait until after 2018 to pass GOOD legislation, than compromise in 2017 and pass mediocre legislation.
