“How much will this $100 coin cost?”
3/5 or $60.

I’ll bet this really pisses off the LGBTQZTS and Muslim “communities”. It’s “rasis”.

Throughout history, Lady Liberty has never been depicted in this manner.
Progressives have been using race as a proxy for ideology, with people who are “white” (as compared to Caucasian) who are conservative and therefore evil, and with people who are not “white” (such as people who are “minorities” or “of-color”) are progressive and therefore virtuous, noble, and having good intentions.
So, this depiction of Lady Liberty depicts the Progressive Lady Liberty, a person who wants to impose socialism on the rest of us, and thereby enslave everyone.

“So how, sanely, does the Mint reconcile the extreme disparity between the intrinsic value being so much higher than the face value?”
Because since the end of the gold standard, the value of currency has nothing to do with intrinsic value. The components making up a $100 bill are worth cents. There’s nothing to say that the components can’t be more costly rather than less costly - except the more costly version will never be produced for general circulation.

How can you tell she is black if the coin is made out of gold?

Why does the mint need to waste money designing new coins designs? We’re $20 trillion in debt.

Could the President issue an EO directing the Mint to sell their coins at face value?I had a similar idea. Given only to Blacks for slavery reparations.

. . . while the “other side” does not exhibit equal and opposite indignity (and exhibits no immaturity) over a black actor playing Aaron Burr, even in regards to what said actor did to the vice-president-elect.

I suspect the government makes money from collectors and investors with new coin designs. This is not meant for general circulation anyway as the price will be well over $1000 per coin, depending on the weight.

Dreadlocks and African facial features. She’s a looker too, at least as much as is possible for a face stamped on a coin. :)

Went to a huge coin show in Ft Lauderdale last weekend, picked up a roll of 40 Buffalo nickels for 10 bucks.
Was amazed at the variety and number of US coins that have been produced over the years.
This coin is OK, will be illustrative of a period where we had a communist black President who made everything about race.
