Trump ally Newt Gingrich says his big worry about President-elect Donald Trump's incoming administration is that they'll "lose their nerve" – and faced with flak from the left, "give in."

In an interview with ABC News' "This Week," the former Speaker of the House said the new Trump administration will have to take positions the "left will hate."

He has been an enemy in my book ever since he sat on that couch with Pelosi. Newt is pure uniparty establishment.

Gingrich knows how to muddy the waters for the enemy, he lives to do that. Let the man do his work :) Outside the Admin ;)

I agree that Newt understands what’s going on, but he should pass the warning thoughts along to Trump PRIVATELY. Don’t shout it over the airwaves, signalling to the left to keep up the pressure.

Do you understand what goes on in the US media every Sunday ?

President Trump needs, and has, surrogates on all the shows to counter the propaganda that infects our country 24/7, 365 days a week.

Not everyone is as effective as Kellyanne Conway and she cannot be on all the shows all the time; Rudy Guliani and Newt Gingrich are two surrogates. Chris Christie cannot really do the job due to the bridge case. The MSM is going to spin everything and NewsMax is essentially the same, albeit for different reasons.

It is just this gloom and doom theme and Trump has not even been sworn in yet. We tell som mid left types to give Trump a break and see what happens and we should do the same to people like Newt.

I think Newt us just a cable news talking head so I ignore him. If he became a part of Trump admin that is different, sec state, which I would have approved, but he didn’t do he is out

More of the circular firing squad stuff, from Newt no less.

Palin mouthed off a few weeks ago, Bolton a few days ago.

They are all attention whores. If they actually believe what they say, they should keep it to their inner circle, if it’s important, tell Trump.

But don’t tell the press. They get off on this crap. It’s very damaging.

Good bye Newt. Have a horrible day and stay away!!!

I totally agree with that :) We’re so scared of somebody going weak we risk turning this into Mao’s cultural revolution. Leave that to the SJW’s on the college campus.

DJT is fastidious about no monkey business stepping foot across the threshold of the White House. That’s something to celebrate in itself.

Apparently Newt hasn’t been paying attention for the past year and a half, along with Adam Schiff.

We have really been fighting correctly since 2010 with the advent of the TEA Party. It has taken real conservatives six years of fighting to get this far.

We have taken two branches of the Federal Government and have been wildly successful in taking the States back. We will not stop as we are on the advance and now have seen that our labors are bearing fruit and anybody who gives up or stands in our way will be cast aside and feel our wrath. We will not become complacent.

DJT is no ordinary Republican. For one he isn’t a politician, nor does he need the position for personal gain. He has no reason to cave on his core campaign promises.

Trump is not the problem...He's going to have an up hill battle with the Republicans in Congress on every issue...

Newt certainly folded on the Contract with America after Newsweek/Time called him the Grinch that stole Xmas. This is a different world now Newt. None of us read Newsweek or Time.

Unlike Newt (and yourself by the posts that you have made on this thread) I fully understand that carbon dioxide produced by human beings is not causing runaway global warming or catastrphic weather through a greenhouse effect.

I also understand that the global usurpation of national sovereignty proposed to combat this nonexistent problem would extend what happened to Namibia and Zimbabwe when Rhodesia broke up to the rest of the world.

That was what Newt became part of. It defines him to a large extent.

I do not care in any way how much you want that agenda to succeed. It hangs around Newt’s neck and anyone defending him when he is called on it defends that agenda.

He certainly knocked himself down several pegs in lots of peoples eyes, including mine with that stupid stunt. Do not cavort with the enemy. You gain nothing by it.

365 days a week

365 days a year

They would do 365 days a week if they could to hold on to power. The lost this election. We won, thanks be to God.

Refresh my memory. I’m not disputing you, I just honestly am one of those that has forgotten. I remember losing a considerable amount of respect when he joined Nancy on the Global Warming couch. Is that what you are referring to or is it something else?
